The nightlife is pretty decent shops are wicked And there’s a lot of things to do in the city there are many shops to choose from in the high cross.. there are many places to visit like abbey park or king Richard III’s museum

It’s a pretty good place to live, however the uni itself is quite far from certain amenities and as such is quite frustrating

Uni of Leicester nights out aren't amazing, and I feel generally unsafe in town after dark. It's got pretty much everything you need in a city though.

The nightlife is great and the student nights out are very cheap! Plenty of takeouts everywhere and tons of shops and loads of them offer student discounts. There's cinemas, bowling and tons of job opportunities for part time workat good rates.

Leicester is a great location with many things to do, from viewIng the National history of the place or going out and enjoying the night life. The city is well connected with the train station and bus station only with 10 minuites walk of the centre of town. It’s definetly a student city.

Leicester has everything that a major city has just scaled down a bit. It has good amount of decent night clubs to not get bored, plently range of places to eat and a fair few vintage clothing shops and record stores. Everything is reasonably cheap in Leicester so you won't be hit with any surprises. The only thing I could fault leicester on is the lack of green spaces, there are a few like Abbey park but all the good places you would need to get a bus to.

I come from Preston so for the entirety of first year I thought Leicester was pretty amazing. After a further 2 years to consider, I would settle that Leicester is alright. It's a pretty populous city but it also feels like it's on the smaller side, you'll run out of things to do after not too long. Eating out is something I've always loved about leicester, with a good range of international cusines on offer, Chinese and Indian food in particular is very good here. The nightlife is ok but it's not as friendly as it is up north. RnB tastes are what the city cater for. The SU nights in Leicester are good though. Highcross is a nice sized shopping centre and has decent shops like Urban Outfitters and Zara, there is a pretty big Primark here too. Always plenty of students around due to the 2 unis in the city. Ultimately, Leicester will always be memorable for me as my university town as will likely be the case wherever you go to uni. I would like to work somewhere a bit bigger and livelier, but could see leicester as a place I would consider coming back to in the future.

Food is great available pretty much 24/7 and many varieties. Shopping centre is brand new with many shops but not as good as first thought. Also have a fantastic barbers located in the city centre called Cartels, best trim ever.

Good uni town with some great nights out. Special shout out to the O2 on student nights and MOSH on a Tuesday.

Leicester town centre is great, full of shops, restaurants and bars for multiple tastes. Attending the University of Leicester as well as DMU makes the town centre so easy to get to in a relatively quick amount of time. There are multiple nightclubs which generally host various events which satisfy all music tastes, with Leicester also ranking as one of the most affordable cities to live in. Coming from London, that means something!

It's quite a good town, good night out and the food court next to high cross has a lot, high cross is quite good but what they don't have in there you can find nearby, vintage shops at the lanes are really good too

Leicester is like a mini London except you can walk to a lot more places. Cab fares are fairly cheap and there is loads nightclubs. After 11pm public transport is practically a myth but when it is available compared to London the prices are a bit expensive

Leicester is a big enough city, it has plenty of attractions like the space center a few cinemas, lazier tags, escape rooms and many more. It has a great variety of restaurants and take aways, something for cheap students and weekends when ur treating ur self to good food after a big weekdays. On freshers week I have visited all the night clubs and I must say that my favourites are Republic on Saturday and mosh on Tuesday, tbh all of the night clubs here are decent and in town so u don't have to travel far away, every nightclub has a needed kebab near it. We have a big shopping center and shops in town where u can find every thing u need ever halls of residence also have a shop near it like Lidl or Tesco. Over all its been great living here for the past 2 years.
