Its a really good uni but location is not the best. It takes an hour to get there from the city Centre but the teachers are the best and uni is centred around the wellveing of the students

Edinburgh is the city we all dream with. Full of history, culture and places to get lost. The atmosphere is amazing and Scottish people could not be nicer. The city is also full of pubs with live music and big pints (which is a great combination) and there are several parks where you can go when you feel like disconnecting for a while. Once you come, you will never want to leave.

Edinburgh is a beautiful city. So stunning and sets such a nice scene for studying and living without a doubt. If you're a big town person though Edinburgh in the grand scheme of things isn't that big after a while, yet all the necessities are there. The nightlife isn't the best but its still always a good laugh! On arrival there seems to be an unlimited amount of things to do and see but after four years you've pretty much seen it all.

Excellent city for student events, nights out and shopping. Edinburgh is a very friendly city with lots going on - I never get bored. Transport is excellent however it would be good if they extended the tram line.

Edinburgh is quite a small city which makes it so great. It's very easy to walk everywhere even in bad weather, meaning taxi rides to the club's aren't expensive and you are never too far from home. There are good shops in Princes Street but Edinburgh doesn't have a shopping mall unless you want to travel for ages.

nights out are fun, there's so much good food wherever you go, and there's shopping throughout the city. the whole place is absolutely beautiful, extremely walkable but with decent public transportation, and i love living here. niggest downside is that it's quite expensive.

The uni itself is nice and has nice interior. Good study rooms/library. However, the location of the uni isn’t near any cafes, bars or pubs to get a semi decent meal!! Wish it was a little bit closer to the city.

In my opinion Edinburgh is the best city to live in. Compared to other places I feel it offers the largest variety of things too. From drinking, clubbing and shopping to climbing Arthur’s seat or going to the castle. There’s always something to do. It offers so many different food options, no matter what you fancy there’s always something.

Edinburgh is such a cool city, sort of like a mini London with loads of things to do. I like it because it isn't too big and everything is within walking distance - also saves money on transport !! During the summer they also have the fringe theatre festival which makes it a pretty cool location if you're into theatre as well because there are thousands of performances on during this time. I love Edinburgh and think it's a fun and also quite an international city. The only thing is that it's very far north and Travelling anywhere else in England isn't always super convenient.

Good uni like, but expensive but lots to do and everyone is friendly. Very nice city, lots of nice buildings and plenty to look at. Very lovely at Christmas aswel with the markets and having a flat for new year up here is amazing

The night life is great. Best in class. But there are no food options past midnight unfortunately. City transportation is usually reliable. Buses run less on Sunday though. Shopping can be a bit expensive as are chip shops. Avoid new town for food unless you are willing to spend. Also has lovely natural landscapes. Arthurs seat is great for walks and runs. Calton hill is a great tourist attraction.

Edinburgh is a truly beautiful city. I came here from Wales to study at Edinburgh University in 2015 and can honestly say I am so happy with my decision. The architecture and everyday surroundings are stunning and people in the city are so friendly. I had not done much research before coming, however I was so pleased to find that Edinburgh provides so much to do as a student. There are lots of options for nightlife, many various cool quirky and high end bars but also some lovely decently priced student pubs/bars too. There are numerous clubs, such as Bourbon, Why Not and Opal. They are not too big but I enjoy that kind of club more than overwhelmingly big club dance floors but that’s personal preference. The shopping is mainly outdoors on Princes St, a central area overlooking Pronces St Gardens (so pretty in Summer). It is a buzzing city with plenty for locals and tourists to do including camera obscura and ghost tours around the city. I love that there is always something going on, even in Summer I like to come back as the Fringe Festival in August transforms the city into a month long party! The reason I left one star is that personally I have found rent to be quite pricey, ranging from around £450 upwards per month, £400 if lucky. Living costs are like most other cities, it just depends where you like to eat, shop or go out but generally price wise it is normal unless you tend to go to the higher end parts such as George St etc.Transport is great with good bus routes and WiFi on all edinburgh buses, and as I fly home I personally love the tram directly to the airport even though this is a controversial opinion haha. All in all I would highly recommend coming here to study or even visit. Will be living here at some point after Uni I am sure.

Edinburgh is a beautiful city that has a great history. Restaurants are good, Pizza Posto is one of the best places for Pizza and very good value for money.

Great city, nearest city to my home and so have visited the city a lot. However, moving to Edinburgh was a completely different experience having everything in walking distance. All the shops were just what I needed and the botanic gardens, arthur seat and even the seaside just made me love the city even more

Its soo lovely, Princes street is filled with soo many retail stores and food places. The castle can be seen from the city centre and that’s incredible

Ridiculously expensive, but nice sized city. Lots of culture lots of stuff to do, a lot of places to get food. Lots of clubs so good nightlife, but only two food places open past 2am so that's not great.

Edinburgh has very good public transport and is also good for a night out, however can be a little pricey. The city centre is great for shopping and places to eat and there’s loads to do in and around the centre.

Nice city for uni students with excellent international atmosphere. A great combination of modern and history in terms of architecture. Has lots of restaurants some of which are of great value for money. People are generally nice and friendly. A large amount of museums and galleries in the city centre. Public transportation is good, with adequate bus lines. Very convenient in location for travelling to most of the European cities. Doesn't have a lot of shopping malls with fancy stuff, but enough supermarkets and grocery stores. The climate is so friendly for people who are not used to the moisture or coldness.

Plenty pubs/clubs for a night out. Loads of good food places. Meadows is nice to chill out. Multiple cinemas spread across the city and always something new to do. Paintballing, go karting etc all easy to get to on the bus.

Edinburgh is a great city with great people, and tons of stuff to do all throughout the day and into the night

I think being at Edinburgh uni the location is great because it is right in the town centre. This means that in terms of food thier is a great choice with lots of places giving student discount.
