So many good nightclubs for whatever scene you may be into. Whether it's the pros teen ness of George street or the grungy dance aesthetic of the cowgate. You'll be bound to find something to your tastes.

Amazing city! It is so so beautiful so with many things to do. I have lived here just over 2 years and i am still in awe of this city. Plenty of days out, shops, art galleries/ museums and places to eat. Summer and christmas times are great times to come as you have the famous fringe festival in August and the beautifuk christmas markets. I love it, couldn't imagine living anywhere else!

This city is perfect for students, not too big, not too small, numerous places to enjoy nightlife and also just to go out for dinner for example. Most of the museums are for free, many things to see. Beautiful seaside within half an hour. Many shops in the city centre. Grocery shoppimg is easy as well: tesco, sainsbury's, lidl, aldi etc. almost everywhere. Public transport has lots of buses, but its easy to cycle as well, especially along the beautiful canal. Airport is really close to the city, easy to reach.

Very calm and small city. You can find everything you want and all within short distance! It's great when it comes to university life and people here are very social. The variety of food available is great considering it's so small and you can always find something new to try. The architecture is one of the best I've ever seen and you will always find buildings to admire. Walking around alone is enough to make your day better. Many touristic desinations are available including the Castle, Arthurs seat, Calton Hill, Prince's Street, Victoria Stress, Grass Market, The Meadows etc.

A very beautiful place, away from the hustle of the city and pure scottish serenity. There is a lake in campus which is a great spot to hangout. The forest trails in the university make morning walks great. The University looks great in any season.

Our university is 40 minutes away from the town centre by bus and only 6 minutes away by train that costs almost twice as much and does not come very regularly. On a night out you are sometimes desperate to catch the last train as you do not want to spend 40 minutes and £3 on a night bus.

Overall Edinburgh is a great student town. There's a huge amount of students and as a result loads of places to go out, eat and drink. Transport connections are great with Lothian Buses. Can be expensive.

Awesome city! So many chairs and affordable places to eat as a student. Many free museums and art gallery’s, open parks and walks.

Edinburgh is the perfect student city. It's small enough that you'll never feel lost, but there are endless things to do so you'll never be bored. It's international but maintains a Scottish feel.

Within walking distance of everything you could need, and loads of public transport options for everything else.

Amazing city, amazing public transport and amazinf people. The nightlife is great if you know where to go for it. The castle being in the centre of the city definitely makes it unique and the Edinburgh accent isn’t too bad to understand if you’re from elsewhere.

The city itself is beautiful - stunning architecture and scenery. Nights out are good, with plenty of student nights as to not break the bank. There’s also a lot to experience and do in the city and surrounding areas too. However, rent is a wee bit on the expensive side.

Great place - so much going, loads of festivals happen throughout the year (not just the fringe and film festival). Pretty sound for shopping, Princess street has basically everything Oxford street has, just a little scaled down. Plenty of places for cheap food and drink near campus.

Edinburgh is maybe not a big city but have a lot to offer. This city is alive on the day and also in the night. There are sime bars, pubs and clubs almost everywhere and the same thing is with food and restaurants. The transport is long, it takes a while to drive to the centre unfortunately

Edinburgh is such a beautiful city, with a mixture of different nightclubs, bars, pubs, cafes, shops etc for everyone's taste, which you would expect with Edinburgh being a capital city. It also has so many beautiful outdoor spaces, with Princes Street Gardens, the Meadows (perfect for a summer barbecue) and Holyrood park. The city to me is still utterly enchanting with beautiful views and sights all around the centre which is where the university is. All of the city is very accessible, as the centre is quite compact, however if you are going further afield, such as to one of the beaches in the city (Portobello being a favourite), there are good and affordable transportation systems. as a result of it being such a great city, the living cost is huge, with rents increasing hugely per year and landlords making prospective tenants practically audition to stay in their place. Despite this, I would not live anywhere else.

Definitely one of the cities to go to university in, from the ease and cheapness of transportation to the amounts of things to do. Edinburgh has it all.

Edinburgh is my favourite city in Scotland. I love that it has the nightlife of a city but also has scenic views as if you’re in the country. It’s so easy to get about with the excellent transport system and anything you need is a 5 minute journey away. Shopping is accessible and there’s plenty of amenities everywhere.

Such a great city! Loads of fun cultural activities, fantastic restaurants and great pubs and bars. The fringe festival in August is also super fun, and great for finding a summer job. The only problem is allll the tourists.
