Solent University

The facilities are amazing, and the links with industries are unlike anywhere else, especially on music courses

Su doesn't really do much, especially the removal of the bar!! Course lecturers are generally poor and unmotivating,poor funding for sports teams. Nice location though ...

Good uni, supportive staff and students lots around the area so there is stuff to do. A lot of different societies and clubs, there is something for any and everyone!

Solent is a great university, id say that it excels in the arts, media and sport. It offers an extensive and impressive range of equipment for those fields which is turn leads to impressive pieces of work. The lecturers are friendly and the overall atmosphere is relaxed, comforting and fun.

Great facilities for everyone. The university are currently building a new sports centre which is great. Library has everything you need. The Spark building is great and modern. The university is in a great location, close to the city centre and only a 20 min walk to Central Station. I really enjoy studying at Solent

New university building looks very nice and clean however SM building looks horrible with no good facilities. Some rooms are not comfortable to be in. Library facilities are very good, all staff are helpful and there are many books, newspapers, magazines and articles. No a lot of parking spaces and parking is very expensive. They focus too much on sport facilities than on other things.

Really good uni with good facilities and support available for students and nightlife is amazing. Good sports facilities, good lectures and careers advice. Freshers fair really good. Creative uni with lots to do in all aspects.

The university is always upgrading. Issues with computer systems always arise but they do at most other universities. The teaching here is a mixed bag. Some great lecturers and some not so great. The university trips and nights out with other students and lecturers has made my experience fun and also an amazing networking experience. Solent suited me and that’s why I choose here.

Not really had much to do with the SU as of yet. Sports teams are good. Teaching is not a level I'd expect from £9,250.00

For me personally, the university has been brilliant. It’s made me realise what I want to do in my career and giving me to confidence to do so.

The new spark building is amazing! It's so beautifully designed and filled with such useful technology and equipment to help with our courses. The pod is my favourite place to work because it's such an interesting environment to learn in.

Good course (BIT), good campus for a city university. Poor parking. Not an issue when living in halls mind. Staff are attentive and want the best for the students always.

Best decision of my life going to solent, it's a great uni and full of social confident people. The lecturers are understanding and the courses for the most part are really good. Plus the nightlife is pretty insane

The university is very diverse and has great and very accessible ways of resource. It is great support for students to develop and start their careers and explore what they can do in the future with help from teachers and everyone around as well as great facilities and equipment that we can't find or have access anywhere else

Its a good university in both education and staff , my course its great and since the first day I learn a lot of great things

I loved the learning facilities, especially the new The Spark building made learning a lot of fun while being in a inspiring environment. Also the library as everything you need for your studies!

The location of the campus is great as it’s near town and easily accessible. But it lacks in good sports facilities compared to other universities.

Some lecturers are extremely bland and do not inspire at all. The facilities at uni are good but the overall lack of help and guidance from lecturers is bad

Great support team and my units within my course are challenging but always fun to work on. They have a great online portal to show us our timetable, any updates or news as well as handy tips on everything you need to know about uni life

There should be more events to reunite students from similar backgrounds. There should be more elevators throughout the buildings. There should be more themed events (ex: nationality events) and the coffee shops within the university should be less expensive as it is a students Caffè.

Southampton solent University, is very good and developed in less academic subjects, such as arts, design and music. As a music management student I've learned everything surrounding the music business and marketing in my course.

Southampton Solent university has provided me with a lot of opportunities to further my learning and improve my employability for the future. Being on a course with a 100% student satisfaction rate has proved to be thoroughly enjoyable. Facilities such as the library, the student hub, and the spark have helped me in my organisation and my studies. The Solent cinema (Sonar Film) has also been really fun to be a part of.

Solent has a wide range of courses that, many of which aren’t “traditional” courses. This gives industry specific opportunities for young people to experience what they love
