Adult nursing - the course was good the only thing would be the placement team allocating placements to people with large travel times and not being able to swap with someone who is closer. Also the amount of assignments to do whilst on placement was difficult. The campus is lovely, lots of books in the library, lots of good facilities and practical sessions. The only down side is that during busy periods there would not be enough computers for everyone and there is no free parking

The campus is good and the library is so useful as it is massive and has lots of facilities such as meeting rooms, quiet study, loads of books and printing. There is a careers and employability centre too that help with things such as writing cv’s which is really helpful coming up to graduation.

My course was the best possible course I could of chosen for my career path, the support was great with all my assignments I just felt like there was too much workload at one time.

The university is very welcoming, the first few weeks are dedicated to showing you the way around campus and how to find rooms, the facilities are amazing and cater for a wide range of courses and students.

Sheffield is a great city to be a student as there is just so much tailored for them! Sheffield Hallam lack in a lot of areas in terms of organisation of the course, it’s all very last minute at times! Loved my time in Sheff though

Good student union and student bar, helpful staff and a good location and city, good courses and a very enjoyable and safe place to be.

There are 2 campus with the city one being larger and thus having a better library as well as better catering and more options such as halal food The sports facilities are quite good the only thing lacking is that the uni does not have its own pool in its gyms and swimming elsewhere can be quite expensive My course is an NHS course and thus I spend a lot of time on placement and have found the support staff are really helpful should I have any issues with lectures, deadlines or placement The career services are second to none with regular career fairs, jobs both in and outside of uni and placements are lost on the unihub online and there is a career centre in the student union for further help and supplier. The students union is lacking in terms of size when compared to other unis and only has a bar and no clubs however this is made up for with a students night organised with a local venue The organisation of most courses is something that is a regular complaint of students however support as a student rep or support for career options or for international students is very good as well as support from academic mentors is very well organised

My course is based at collegiate campus where there is a brand new building called heat of the campus with new lecture rooms. This makes the uni feel light and modern and a great learning environment. The lecturers are great! Really friendly and know what they are talking about. They are also happy to help you if you are having any difficulties.

The learning facilities are very good at this university, the lecturers are very helpful all the time and are easy to get in contact with

The university is built on a huge support network there are a range of services that can help with any situation you have difficulty with. Accommodation, financial, university work (coursework). Even help, advice and support via the students union and the library services. Using these service may feel daunting at first but the staff members are so welcoming and friendly, and taking that step by just turning up to an appointment definately helped me feel like I was working towards solving a small/ huge burden.

Excellent uni, love how the campuses are set up, it creates a more unified group of people, not forgetting its a lot easier to navigate than a city university

I am so glad I chose to come to Hallam. I love everything about, settled into my course extremely well and I rate everything about Sheffield as a student City.

The course which I study is Criminology. It has been a wonderful experience moving to uni and findinng like minded people on my course. The lecturers have supported me throughout plus the careers services has supported me through the process of finding and applying for jobs. The lecturers organised the modules very well and offered guidance online as well as in person. The uni has also offered other opportunities to help us throughout including help with academic writing as well as referencing. The facilities they have are excellent and the uni as a whole supports all its students so they can achieve their potential.

Sheffield Hallam University is a great place to learn and develop professional skills for your future. It has 2 great campuses, one in the city centre and one at the outskirts with a lot of green area, both of them with 24/7 library services. My experience so far was amazing - friendly and helpful staff all the time and my course (Events Management) is well organised and there are lot of opportunities to get involved and volunteer (events, internships, placements). Overall, Hallam prepares you for life and makes you as employable as possible. The staff help you if you struggle with any module, assessment or if you are home sick. There are a range of departments and you will never feel alone here. Hallam also offers support for your exams and course work and full guidance through your academic life.

The facilities available are good on both campus’s, the library at collegiate campus isn’t as good as the one at city but it is a lot easier to find books that you need or even your way around. My course is run very well and there is always teachers/lecturers asking for feedback on how to improve there lectures/seminars.

Sheffield Hallam university is overall a really good place, it is full of people so there is never an empty day. I study tourism and find it interesting and engaging. The students union is centrally located meaning it’s great for pres.

The staff are really approachable, friendly and cannot do enough to support you. There are lots of volunteering, work and placement opportunities available during your course as employment after graduation is important at Sheffield Hallam.

Very little issues. Department of biosciences is very good overall. Feedback can be faster and better quality, for example, I can't improve my feedback based on a sentence of less than 10 words. In other areas, the library needs improving if possible to give better computers with more being available

Hallam has been a very up and down university for me. As an individual I have struggled to fit into Hallam and do occasionally feel as if I don’t belong there. As a university however, Sheffield Hallam is a very good one to attend because both campuses (City and Collegiate) are located within a 10 minute walk from everything whether that be the nightclubs or The Moor (shopping centre). Hallam is also good because it’s not to far away from Meadowhall.

Collegiate campus is pretty big, built on a hill, which is very annoying when you’re in a building at the top of the hill and have to walk from near the bottom, but very pretty campus. The catering is very good in heart of the campus with hot meals provided and sandwiches. The library offers sandwiches cheap on a shu card which is good but more choice would be good. My course is very good.

Facilities - Lack of IT equipment on Collegiate Campus Course - Lack of variation in elective modules Career Services - Very useful service, perhaps the best feature of the university is there support in careers and helping you enhance your CV etc

There are two campuses in great locations, with both having great facilities. My course, law, is fab and the lecturers are enthusiastic and helpful! The student union is located by the city campus and always puts on a good range of activities, as well as a freebie fair and societies fair at the start of the year! 10/10 would recommend

My course Bsc Geography has been the worst experience of my entire life. Each year has just been terrible, the modules have been unexciting and actually made me want to change course because of it. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone
