The Sheffield Hallam university campuses are very nice. As I’m based at collegiate I can only really comment on the one but the time I have spent at city campus it also seems very nice. Collegiate campus has an amazing range facilities perfect for the many course they offer there from multiple lecture halls to seminar and computer room to science labs there’s no lack of appropriate facilities. I currently study sports science and very much enjoy it. The overall course content has been good and for first year the level at which we are working at seems appropriate and fair. The careers service in my opinion is amazing. Consistently throughout the year they are always emailing with relevant job and work experience/placement opportunities that you can apply for making it very easy for these opportunities to be sourced.

Perfect university to provide a community feel, great food outlets and support services on site, the lecturers running the International Tourism Management course are excellent in terms of teaching style and resources provided... fun and interesting course too! Sheffield itself is perfect for student life, has easy and accessible transport links and offers lots of gardens, parks and the Peaks!

I’ve really enjoyed my time at Hallam. My tutors are always pushing me to achieve greater things whilst being very supportive at the say time. I have access to a wide variety of equipment that aids my course.

I am currently a 1st year student, studying adult nursing. The university has been absolutely amazing with help and support when needed. Sheffield Hallam University is such a great uni because it teaches you everything you need to know about your course. The facilities are good, I have no concerns with them. The staff that work on campus are friendly, caring and always wanting to help with any problems that may occur to them.

Diversity, plenty of different kinds of people to meet and a variety of activites in the university that encourage you to find each other. The course for screenwriting is great, however I have removed two stars for significant reasons; screenwriting staff should receive the same entitlement to film equipment as the other faculties, some of the staff don't know how to give critical and respectful feedback to assignments, and there needs to be more music facilities and activities for Sheffield of all cities. The music society is weak and there are no practice rooms, studios or major events other than a typically empty open mic event at the union bar.

I am in my second year of Psychology at Sheffield Hallam. I am based at Collegiate Campus. The campus includes various study buildings, a library and a gym however these are very small and during studying hours (9-5) I struggle to find a space to workout or study. However, the course itself is very interesting and includes a lot of practical work which is the way I learn best. The lecturers are always there to help and provide you with as much research as they can to help you succeed in your assignments.

Sheffield Hallam university is a great place to study, with two huge campuses with a lot of great buildings to study in. The building I study in institute of arts is excellent the tutors are very understanding, helpful and kind as well the equipment and facilities we have access to as art and design students

two campuses, both really up to date with loads of resources, the city is great and the university make you feel welcome and the teaching is spot on, only down side, more money should be spent on the student union

Course is perfect for me as it allows me to gain a large range of skills through different modules and the staff are all really helpful. The student union is great but I’d prefer if they played music as it gets dull when playing pool upstairs with no music on haha and the building could do with a makeup as I’m not a fan of the colour

Sheffield Hallam university is really focused on preparing you for working life post graduation right from the get go. It’s a fun and supportive uni, that’s very student focused and has many societies and events to make uni life fun outside of your course!

Had a good time at Sheffield Hallam. A very vibrant city with something for everyone. You get out what you put in. Course was good, made a friend.

Sheffield Hallam is a good university. The services for careers advice are decent, the lectures are useful (on the whole) and the campus is nice too. However, money could be spent on more useable facilities and experiences such as excursions etc. Mental health services are limited, counselling is very difficult to get.

Good uni, wide range of courses and excellent facilities. With all of these aspects combined, Sheffield Hallam University provides students with the multiple opportunities to develop their skills.

The university experience and education support was brilliant. All my lecturers were incredibly experienced and supportive. I have found the university struggle to support alumni and a university I am keen to work for have made it seem near enough impossible to work for.

Great campus at collegiate, all buildings in a close range so great for getting from one building to another. Timetable could be better. Often in for one hour a day and then have a five hour gap the next day. Majority of teaching staff and lovely and supportive. Would recommend this university to potential students

I have been there 4 years and have enjoyed it for the most part. Aside from the obvious stress from coursework the course has been great. The people on the course have been excellent and as a result of that I have made new friends. There are a lot of places in and around the uni to go about and socialise with fellow peers and have a good time. The lecturers have been so helpful and I have never had a problem with any of them. With only the slight hiccup every now and then and that only being my course in particular it has so far been a great experience and I would recommend this uni to anyone applying.

I study at the city campus in the very Heart of the City. It is in the best location as it is very convenient from the train station, good transport links and connections and easy to get around. I study IT with business with a sandwich year where the staff are fairy helpful in helping you find the placement and if you were struggling they were very willing to help. The new careers connect centre is fantastic. They offer one-to-one sessions and help with your CV, to help you get a placement or part-time job during university. I also work as a student ambassador for their university as they are very flexible with the mind of hours you work and the skills she ach The new careers connect centre is fantastic. Great uni! Would fully recommend, the hubs a bit rubbish though, and you have to pay for a lot of book which is really annoying to say your paying £9000 a year you would think you would get the books for free but nooooooooooooooooo

I study mechanical engineering and the facilities provided for students in my faculty are excellent. My only negative regarding the facilities is the availability of specialist software which is quite limited. The careers service have helped me enormously during my time at the university, aiding me in honing my employability skills and assisting in successfully applying for a placement. The university students union is not so good. It is very small and ill equipped compared to other universities I have visited. Overall however I am happy with my experience at Hallam and I would recommend it to others.

I believe Sheffield Hallam University from being a first year student so far my experience has been amazing!! The university itself is extremely modern, welcoming and there is always so much going on within and outside the university base; I enjoy attending all my lectures, seminars and workshops for the course I am currently studying and I am so great full for getting into such a well recognised and spectacular university which really is living up to its name; can't wait for my next 2 years at Hallam and the amazing journey which is only just beginning!!
