Nights out are great and plenty of options for all types of night outs. Great transport links in terms of buses trains. Most plllaces are within walking distance from student accommodation ranmoor and endcliffe. Goodwin offers range of sports and lots of intramural for competitive sports games.

Food and drink could do better, although some clubs like corp is doing really good in their pints too. The city is boring as theres nothing to do except working and clubbing

Great place with a shopping mall not far away, often with great sales. There are quite a few bars to grab a drink with friends

There are bars around here, pop tarts and clubbing events are often held too. There’s a big shopping mall not far away which has often have sales.

Sheffield is a city built for the people who live here. It has everything you could need. It has a big array of restaurants and an even bigger range of fantastic independent coffee shops. The city centre is a bit small for a city as gig as sheffield but it is filled with great shops and vintage stores.

Was my 2nd choice university but am so happy I ended up in Sheffield! Meadowhall is a great shopping centre and clubs close to the uni building.

Great place, good atmosphere and good night life. Met lots of friendly people with similar interests. Good range of things to do and places to eat, and very close to lots of nice other major cities like Leeds and Manchester.

Great city, some good night's out like Corp Wednesday's. Meads is the place to go for some shopping and two unis.

Not many good clubs, around 2 days a week are popular. Transport is good, 40 mins by tram to mead hall for shopping and good restaurants. City centre has many food places and outdoor shopping has well.

Great Universityi, there's a wide selection of nights out, cheap drinks as well as good cafes and restaurants. The buses aren't the best linked, but most places are walking distance and if not, there's the tram.

Lots of ace places to watch gigs, especially if you want to watch small local gigs. Sheffield is a very cheap place to have fun too, especially when it comes to nights out. You’re also on the doorstep of the peaks so there’s plenty of opportunity to go and have a really nice picturesque walk.

Nothing beats Roar but a Friday night bar crawl or Saturday at pop-tarts or leadmill comes close. West Street live has the best variety of drinks and tigerworks offers a good place to start drinking - always get the five pound round (Monday to Thursday)

Good choice of food near university, clubs should give more attention to customer's comfort than just making money (e.g. having a maximum limit of people, seats and tables arround for people to rest and enjoy a drink).

Great nights out particularly at the student union, cheap nearly everywhere in the city. Meadowhall is a tram ride away for easy shopping

Decent night out, good shopping and value for money.

Very nice city and great uni. Compact and a great variety of things to do. You can't go wrong. Everyone is friendly and everything is cheap nothing much more to say.

Great places to shop and eat, culturally diverse, easy access to urban green spaces and the peak district! And of course great nights out with Clubs, bars and pubs.

Good night out especially places around west street. Bars and clubs can be limited however as it is quite small compared to what I am used to. Spent three years here and am Beginning to get bored.

Awesome place, great atmosphere with a variety of clubs as well as great bars and pubs. Friendly people and overall very cheap. Plus you have the peaks a bus journey away which is a massive bonus.

Vibrant city with a great nightlife, only downside is it’s a bit small... Loads to do, huge music scene so there will definitely be something for everyone, no matter what your taste is

Excellent nights out with cheap drinks and good tunes especially at leadmill. Meadowhall for shopping. Loads of stuff to do. Lots of cycling and mountain biking.
