Exeter

Plenty to do with a few clubs and bars in the city centre, all needed shops for food and shopping are within city centre and doesn't take long to reach. However value for money living wise is steep and tough to reach so we are forced to rent outside of town

Exeter is the perfect small city. You have the bonus of shops, clubs, bars, pubs with the feel of a town. You're close to the countryside, river and coast so it really is a special part of the country. Everything is relatively cheap with lots to do. The only downside is the number of clubs but they grow on you over the years!

For people who don't like super busy places, Exeter is a pretty decent place with a lot of greens. It can get a little boring sometimes, but as long as you have friends to do things with it's fine. It is a little far from London and basically everywhere else. I am an international student so flying back home and then back to Exeter is a huge hassle, but it doesn't bother me that much. Things here are relatively cheap. It's a small place but it's not small to the point where you have no place to shop at.

The city is fairly small (similar to Guildford in Surrey), but has a lot in it. The shops are good, clubs are fairly cheap, and there are loads of food options. The clubs are decent, although the options are slightly limited, and some feel fairly generic. Better music venues, that attracted bigger names, would make the city much better for students in my opinion. Overall though, Exeter is a very nice place to live as a student.

Exeter is such a cool city to study in and the university campus is so well maintained with every need available!!
