Beanery

The location of Deanery is perfect as it’s on the outside of town but still within 10 min walking distance. It’s also about 10-15 min to walk to university. The accommodation is great and all you really need and even better depending on what you do with your room and with the people you live with. There’s cleaners that clean the kitchen and hallway each week day and the office for any queries are open almost all the time. A lot of social spaces inside (common room) and outside (to smoke)

Facilities and staff were excellent. Unfortunately I didn’t get lumbered with the best housemates which kind of ruined the experience for me as we all divided towards the end and did our separate thing.

Nice clean halls, fire alarm went off all the time and the shower was something like they used to use as torture

Room is a decent size, nice ensure but small I comfy bed. Location is about 10 minute walk from uni and is a good social place to live. Really enjoying it

The rooms are a really great size and the ensuite is too. The halls are located about 10 minutes from town and it's easy to get there as well as being a 20 minute walk to the uni. The common room has a variety of different table games and there is the opportunity to use a smaller common room for things like D&D.

Beanery would have been so much better if we was put in floors with people of similarity’s as well as less people per floor to avoid awkwardness. Rooms are small and beds defo can only sleep 1.

A beautiful building with high class rooms and kitchen. Especially impressed with the cleaning as it gets cleaned everyday. The people on the front desk are especially helpful too if you have an issue as they normally are students themselves so know what you want.

Everything you expect from halls. Thin walls, hard floors, small rooms, bad beds and dirty showers. Bathrooms probably haven't been refurbed since the 80s. An angry residence manager who just hates everyone; she set off the fire alarm at the crack of dawn once everyone had moved in just to make a point. Windows in bedrooms are very thin so you will hear every single person going through the courtyards to get to their building, kitchen is well equipped and the best thing about Deanery. The heating makes the room toasty in seconds too. If it wasn't for this i would give 1 star. However I felt like I didn't sleep for a whole year and had a pretty sh*t time. Also had silverfish (small silver bugs) climbing out of my sink and toilet on a regular basis. Rank. £130 per WEEK and the price has risen. Do yourself a favour and go to a private company halls.

Social aspects are great everyone wants to get on it! Common rooms are great and the halls themselves aren't half bad! Love it here
