Location of Reading is so good since it is so close to London. Reading is a quite and a peaceful place so it’s an ideal place to live happily and the good thing is that whenever you get bored or what to be in a crowded place you can go to London in 30 minutes. That’s amazing!

The town is filled with things to do. There is a 2 shopping centres and a high street filled with lodes of shops for everything you could possibly need. Behind one of the shopping centres by the river is rows of restaurant so you have a variety of places to eat out and there is multiple restaurants of different cultures. The night life is great there is a few places to go out to all very good though they can get a bit same old. The transport is good there are lots of ways to travel around reading and the buses are somewhat reliable. However a major draw back it the price if you are a student you can sometimes get student deals in readings however everything is very expensive.

The town centre has all of the shops you need for clothes/essentials, there are plenty of places to eat and lots of choice for nights out. There are cheaper places like Wetherspoons or Slug and Lettuce but also some more upmarket cocktail bars and restaurants.

Beautiful city full of life and attractions for young people. I leave nearby and I’m always coming to Reading because of the shopping center. Well Connected to London and to the airports. The university itself has an amazing campus full of green where you can play and enjoy spring season!!

The location of the university is very good because it’s close enough to town, but far enough away to feel quiet and peaceful. It is only a 10 minute bus journey from town, with the buses running nearly 24 hours which is perfect for a night out. The town is full of chain restaurants and clothing brands with a very good shopping centre with everything you need.

The student union is the best the cheap drinks, cheap entry and a great atmosphere. With 5 rooms to our club and six bars there's plenty of room and plenty to listen too. There's also 5 clubs in town so there's something on for every night of the week. Taxis are pretty cheap or you cam catch an uber. The oracle has so many food places and a lot do student discount or deals with email subscriptions

Other than clubbing and shopping, there really isn't anything to do in Reading. The Oracle is a good shopping centre, and the Vue cinema is good but expensive. Nightclubs are good but the Student Union on campus is by far the best option.

I fell In love with Reading from the very first day I explored the town. It’s red brick high street with its abundance of shops, restaurant and bars is a wonderful spot as it the river side! The university campus is gorgeous and what makes Reading so special- it’s had the green flag award for years and definitely deserves it. The bars on campus are also excellent- have loved my time here :)

You can get catered accommodation where you can get food on campus which includes park eat, another place near union and Starbucks at the gym. From having this during first year I must say that the food is average and can be a bit repetitive. As the university is located near Reading Oracle there are loads of options whee you can eat there and can get good student discounts too.

Reading is close to Heathrow, to Gatwick, to the centre of London. Its a place that has a lot of things to do, the weather is always very good in comparison to other UK cities and the university is very close to the centre of the town.

A few clubs for nights out but not a lot of variety, food is mainly chain restaurants which is good for discount for students but not for nice dinners out. Lots of pubs which is great hit mainly too expansive for students. Close to London so great transport links. Shopping is good with the oracle shopping centre. Nice park on campus for walk alongside the bars and SU on campus. Housing is fairly expensive as are halls.

The shopping at the oracle provides a wide variety of shops and also restaurants for a variety of tastes. The transport links from here uni to the centre are regular, allowing you to easily get from the rural campus to the train station easily.

It's a pleasant area with an variety of shops and a place to rest your legs and a bite to eat! There are also many places in which you can get a bus from or if you're feeling fruity, ride a bike!

Reading is a half hour train journey to tfl zone 1. There is a wealth of connecting trains into London and the surrounding areas as well as trains to other parts of the country. Reading's bus service includes a 24/7 bus and buses running very regularly with many routes into town. The Oracle in town is situated by the river and there are a variety of shops and restaurants that you are spoilt for choice. The town nightlife is catered to students and the value for money is high. For cheap cinema nights, Vue offers deals on Mondays that make even going out on a non-alcoholic trip cheap.

Nights out at clubs are fairly cheap as they do student nights from £3! Drinks like vodka and mixer are also cheap from like £1.50 and there's plenty of restaurants in the town centre, lime Nando's, TGI Fridays, wagamama, The Real Greek and Pizza hut, there's something for everyone here. Also an amazing shopping centre, The Oracle, with shops like h&m, zara and the 3 main department stores - John Lewis, House of Fraser and Debenhams.

Having never been on a night out before getting to uni it's made the experience here 10 times better!

It's very convenient to go to central London from Reading, so that's one of the good things here. We have a large shopping centre which has pretty much everything, and there are quite a few of popular places for a good meal and night out! That said, being close to London means every thing here is rather expensive, and I wouldn't say things here are good value for money!
