So much to do in Manchester, 5 seconds from the uni is the famous curry mile, filled with delicious cuisine from Asia and the middle East. Further into town there are endless places to eat, catering to all tastes. Uni is situated inbetween town and other residential areas so it doesn't take too long to move about and feel like you're not surrounded by students. Great nightlife. Cheap gigs all the time with great performers coming to play.

Great city easy to get around and really cheap you can get a decent pint in the town for 2 quid and you can have a mental night out during the week for 10-15 quid

Manchester has a great nightlife, guaranteed a great time every night of the week, as well as a range of music and clubs. University (MMU) is very helpful and supportive. The city itself has a lot to offer, nice cafes, restaurants as well as attractions. The transport is great, buses every few minutes.

Manchester is an amazing city ! Located in the north, you have brilliant countryside locations to visit even just for the day with the super convenient and affordable transport. Inner city comprises of loads of varieties of activities and choice. Meal, Drinks ? Head to spinning fields, northern quarter or Didsbury, my top three recommendations. Vibrant, elegant and food is brilliant. Night out? There’s something for everyone and every occasion. Feeling trainers ? Antwerp. Feeling fancy ? History nightclub. Hulme in Manchester is the perfect place. Student populated and you also have Hulme market: Asda, Argos, Poundland, McDonald’s, KFC etc. There’s a gym, and hair salons and shops (also suitable for Afro hair). Basically everything you need you’ll find in Hulme.

So much to do here! From nights out to places to eat and drink and also shopping. Plenty of events aswell. The value for money considering it’s a big city is also very good and lots of student offers!

Really fun city, always something to do at night or during the day. Often say it's a smaller version of London but way cheaper. The only downside is certain areas, especially Fallowfield which is a key student location can be a bit dangerous at night.

There is so much going on and it is not too expensive to go out or go for a meal with a lot of choice, especially if you like curry!

Manchester is great for nights out, shopping and more! Easy to get round the city via public transport. What I love about Manchester is that there's always something to do, so you need to worry about being bored on your days off.

Manchester is a vibrant city with so much going on! It has places like the curry mile which as the name suggests is amazing for curry and falafel places! The northern quarter has many cafes and caters for vegans (such as the amazing V revs), and then the corn exchange has lots of chain restaurants. Then the nightlife has soo much choice, from bars in fallowfield to the typical clubs like Factory and Fifth, alternative clubs such as 42s or satans hollow and then deansgate locks for a more upmarket night out. There is a massive selection of shops too, and the people in Manchester are so friendly.

There is a lot to do in Manchester, with a variety of nights out to suit all tastes, a wide range of different bars and restaurants and great shopping opportunities.

Great city! A lot of different choices of food and drinks with a wide price range. Good variety of different cuisines. Transport can be more convenient though as the bus services are not frequent in some area.

Manchester is a vibrant city. It has all you need, from entertainments to getaway. It has a good mix of a variety of people from different countries and having different cultures.

Like London but cheaper and a bit more locals feeling. Excellent nightlife and Student friendly priced at many outlets!

Bars in the northern quarter are lovely if you actually enjoy what goes into your drink. If you don't care then fallowfield bars are cheap. Again restaurants in the city centre are again great and cheaper than London. A fairly dirty city with a massive homeless problem which can make wondering the streets concerning at night. Crime in the fallowfield area is way to high and needs sorting out.

Lots of nights out and shopping. Lots of things to do near Christmas and found many cheap bars like the font. Amazing restaurants with a variety of foods to try. Really good place to live

Manchester has many clubs with cheap deals which is perfect for the students in the area. The arndale shopping centre is close which also has the food court in with cheap places to eat. The buses run throughout the night which is a cheap method of transport after a night out.

It’s amazing, I don’t regret choosing Manchester, the location is prefect for a uni experience away from home. The train line is convenient if you want a weekend home only an hour and 40 minute journey. Night life is brilliant with LGBT night life, Canal Street is cheap and cheerful. In general, night life is cheap, don’t need a lot of money to go out. Shopping, go links to Trafford Centre and Arndale shopping mall with tram and bus regular. I do recommend Manchester.

Fallowfield is definitely the place to be if you want to be in the most sociable area. People here love partying and drinking. Victoria park is a place for people who just want peace and quiet. City centre is usually filled with international students. University will be closest to halls here, and there are many bars/ clubs located here. However, students in city halls mostly dont like going out and drinking.
