Cheltenham Town

It's an okay city but whilst there is a lot to do that interests nightlife needs the actual area lacks a lot of greenery unless you have a car, meaning that for me (who loves to go out) it is frustrating at times, apart from that the entertainment is definitely good.

Cheltenham is a great town; the nightlife is limited but what is on offer is a variety of cocktail places, pubs and a couple of really good clubs. Shopping is similar to other places, most big brands have a presence and there are small independent stores also. The main difference to other towns is Montepellier which has many high end shops. The restaurants and entertainment on offer are also great, especially with the Brewery Quater which has a handful of different restaurants, a cinema, bowling and mini golf. Value for money is similar to other towns, everything seems well priced.

If you are situated at hardwick or francis close hall campus then the high street and most other things in town are just a short walk away. If you are at park campus it's just a 15 minute walk or a cheap bus ticket to town. All of the clothing shops, restaurants, takeaways and other outlets are along the highstreet and easy to get to. Over all the size of the town and location of campuses make cheltenham an easy place to navigate and get around in.

Cheltenham does have a lot of things to do for a student but also there isn't too much to explore apart from the main area of town, I personally like for a town to have a lot of parks and green areas and whilst there are a few I don't think there's as many as I would like, aside from this Cheltenham does have a wide variety of places to go

Cheltenham is the place to be when you're a University Student! Not to mention all of the graffiti murals that fill the walkways but the town itself is the place to be. From Montpellier if you're feeling like you want to feel posh for the day, to Cheltenham high street where there are an array of amenities available. The Lost World, a personal favourite, where an indoor miniature golf course can transform you into another world. The night clubs as usual fill you with exhilaration and joy. All in all Cheltenham is the place to be a Student!

Cheltenham is vey accessible from Cardiff where I live. There’s a national express and a bus which travels directly for less than £7 single. The university is close to the town and nightlife but again very accessible by the uni bus

Cheltenham town is such a lovely place to go it has everything you need there from shops to restaurants. There are so many shops and restaurants to choose from you are spoilt really. The great thing about it is that it's so close to the university so you are never too far from anything. Whenever people come over to visit or I go out with friends there is always something to do and lovely place to be able to go and have a great time. It's also great because if you want to have a chilled time you can go to somewhere like the cinema which is always good. The shops in the town are really good as well because they vary from small local ones to big high end stores which is good to have a nice variety to choose from.

university of gloucester sucks, nightlife is awful, people get beaten up and stabbed on a daily basis, i personally have had my car smashed up and broken into 4 times in 3 years. awful place, dont ruin your life by going to university, biggest mistake i ever made.

I go to the University of Gloucestershire at a Cheltenham campus and it is assumed that being surrounded by the Cotswolds would make life for students "boring". I assure you that this is NOT the case with places to dine with friends like; Nandos, Chiquitos, Prezzo, Pizza Express and many more. Not only this but the activity choices available are EPIC! With Hollywood bowl, Lost World (an indoor illuminous golf open till late for drinking whilst golfing), obviously all the clubs like Revolution, Moo Moos, Bierkeller and more which offer guaranteed fun. All of which are great value for money, the golf is my personal favourite at only around £5 each! The town in Cheltenham is amazing with not just the High Street but also Montpellier for those with a little more money and Regent Arcade which is an indoor walk through with even more shops. Cheltenham is the perfect place for University students and I recommend it highly as people's worries are that being surrounded by countryside means no student life, but there's a great student life with great surroundings of countryside.... What more could you want?

Great city! variety of choice for night clubbers ranging from pubs, bars, clubs and gin rooms. Lots of chain restaurants, independent restaurants, cafes, take away, and tea rooms just round the corner, at a reasonable price. Lots and lots of shops, great cinema, gardens, parks and things to do, which can be enjoyed especially during summer months! the only disadvantage is that the city is too crowded and traffic is always awful!

Nights out in terms of student clubs could be better as there's only one and it's not the best, other non-student clubs are better as long as you are ok with higher entry and drinks prices. Nights out at bars like Lounge 21 or Bentleys are the best, drinks are more expensive but the atmosphere is worth it. The Brewery has restaurants that are definitely worth trying, most of which do student discounts, and it's also worth checking out the bowling, cinema and mini golf that's located there. Cheltenham has a big high street full of shops, especially regents arcade, and with the new John Lewis to be fibished ib the summer, it's about to get even better.

Special public bus route designed for students to easily travel between campuses. Great location (Francis close hall) where it is close to town yet not very close so students won’t get distracted easily and near to Pittville Park I do not do nights out because I do not feel safe as many types of disturbing people are out, including drunk and noisy kids. Some places aren’t very well lit too. Constantly eating out can be costly and I prefer cooking as I know what ingredients I’m using. There isn’t much to shop and entertainment as compared to where I come from (not a big city) but it also keeps me out of the temptation to go out. I kinda like this place because it’s relaxing
