Cheltenham is a great place to eat out and has a range of cafes, bars and restaurants that all serve a variety of foods, suiting every budget. There are a few quirky places that need to be experienced however one of my favourite is the Cosy Club, amazing food and a great atmosphere. Being from Bristol where the nightlife is huge, Cheltenham is a bit of a let down as there are not that many clubs or bars? however there are a few cocktail bars that have a nice vibe and pretty reasonable prices. I would recommended Vodka Revs for both food and drinks however they have recently updated their menu which they got rid of a few classics :( The racecourse is a big part of the city and apart from Race Week it is a really nice day out!

A varied, fun and coffee filled town, that just keeps improving. Nights out include beating the bar man and winning a free drink in Bentley's, to dancing on the benches in Bierkeller. And days out can be enjoyed crazy golfing, shopping or taking a stroll in pitville park. Let's not forget the races aswell... Cheltenham is never short of alcohol and a drunk walking the streets at midday which reminds the locals the races are on again. Budget friendly shops can be found on the high street and those with a few more pounds to spare can enjoy the shops in montpellier and all the cocktail places on their way. As well as the promenade market which runs throughout the year and is a a godsend if you're lost for present ideas. Visit for culture, entertainment and some real characters.

Cheltenham is a lovely town for students. It is not too big so it’s easy to find your way around. However, it’s big enough that you can find near enough everything you need in the town centre, including the lovely Brewery Quarter that contains restaurants, a gym, bowling alley, cinemas and bars.

Cheltenham has so many options for food and all are great quality, service and staff! A night out in Cheltenham is so much fun as there are so many different pubs and clubs to go to, as well as having great shopping so you can get any outfit you want! Overall it has a great environment with friendly people and the perfect place for a day out for everyone!

Highly recommend this busy fun town for nerd students like me who want to get there head down and work and then head to the working men's club and enjoy a pint of John smiths after the brilliantly priced student bar which pops off at 9:00, not my style. The library is full of amazing resources and recommend this uni

Wild nights out cheap booze at the student bar shops in close proximity make it easy to vlog on my YouTube channel, gym is full of great equipment. People are brilliant and welcoming however some old people look at you disapprovingly in Aldi when your picking up cheap vodka. The library has a great return policy and overall I would highly recommend attending UOG

Cheltenham is a fantastic city. As a student here it is really great for 2nd and 3rd year students as the nights out are pretty adequate but everything else is really nice. There is a good amount shops and supermarkets close to most places. Cheltenham is a fun, little bit expensive town with a lovely uni and bad traffic.

I moved from a small town to Cheltenham, where I became a University student. It's got the atmosphere & the entertainment similar to a big city, but not as many people, unless the Races are on! The nigtlife is great - there are many bars/cocktail bars/wine bars if you want to be sophisticated but also many student pubs, clubs & general pubs for a good session; my favourites are MooMoos, Fever, Revolution & Lounge! As Cheltenham is considered a bit posh, drinks can be a little pricey compared to more northern towns but it's all worth it! If you're looking for a nice restaurant or a quick bite to eat, there's a massive variety! Ranging from McDonalds, to The Botanist (the newest addition to Cheltenham) to Hotel Du Vin - this is a favourite place of mine & is phenomenal! If you like to shop then Cheltenham is a great place, you can shop for essentials in Primark, New Look, Poundland & Wilko or even treat yourself to something special at John Lewis, House of Fraser or some of the many luxurious shops on the Promenade! Also, Cheltenham is definitely not short of fancy coffee shops, so it's always nice to pop in for a caramel latte when you need a short break from all the shopping!

When I first arrived, I was shocked to realise how everything is so convenient because stores are so close by. In town, you've got groceries, banks, shopping stores, restaurants, pharmacy and clubs in the same area. It's really convenient to get around. And I love the fact that I can get around by foot! I love that there are different kinds of restaurants here. You've got a mixture of Mexican, Western, Japanese, Korean, South African, Spanish, Italian, and the list goes on! It's great that these restaurants have a different price range. There are mkre expensive ones and cheaper ones. Moving on, I love grocery shopping! There is a range of grocery stores like Lidl, Tesco express, Iceland, and Saints Bury's. My favourite place to Grocery shop is at Lidl. The things there are by far the cheapest. And you can get the same kind of foods from the other grocery stores stated above. Some of the foods might not be of the same quality as what you get in tesco express and Saints Bury's. But I guess you pay for what you get. And I'm still happy with what I have been paying for so I am not fussed about it at all. Apart from that, public transport is convenient because the bus stop is in town as well. I personally really enjoy and appreciate the convenience in town because I'm a student with no car to drive. So traveling by foot and public transport is the only way I can get around. Hope this review helps!

Great uni town loads to do without being too overwhelming. Near loads of other great cities too! They have a lovely park and lots of festivals throughout the year.

Nice shops - cheap and good for students but also a variety of nicer brands for when it's needed or for when family and friends come to visit, lots of food and fun restaurants in all price ranges, restaurants around the brewery counters is always good and easy to get to. Also the local restaurants supply fantastic range of nice food with sometimes student discount. The students bars are ok, could be better but they do exist. A range of good student discounted activities to do like mini golf, cinema and bowling all in the same area. Nights out are also good and there are many nice places to get good cocktails and also a range of fun nightclubs. Cheltenhem may seem expensive and luxurious but if you find the good places for students it's like any other town.

Parking is limited near the Francis Close Hall campus however it is only a short distance from the town centre. Cheltenham has a large range of shops, restaurants, bars, clubs and pubs. The transport route are also vast with many different bus routes and a train station.

The town of Cheltenham has an abundance of features that make it attractive to a wide range of people, from Cheltenham Racecourse to the Holst Museum, to Regent's Arcade for shopping. Whilst it is not the cheapest place in the world, the atmosphere of the Montpellier and Promenade area around the Town Hall more than makes up for it.

Cheltenham is a great place to study. There's plenty to do, great pubs, decent clubs, an awesome cinema, bowling, crazy golf. There's a lot of secret jems to discover like moss books, beautiful parks and that falling down fabric shop of the high street. There's plenty of part-time jobs and loads of festivals that the uni can help you get involved in such as the literature festival, science festival and jazz festival. And not to mantion you're in the cotswolds which is such a beautiful part of the country.

I truly love Cheltenham. There are a lot of night clubs that you can spend your night out in. Cuisines from around the world. Fashion shops such as Urban Outfitters or H&M. You can go bowling or watch a movie in a cinema. The atmosphere in this town is very energetic.

Lovely town. The buildings around Montpellier are gorgeous - very white and Georgian. The town has several large shopping centres, although it is missing an Urban Outfitters and Zara, unfortunately.

Cheltenham is a beautiful town with plenty to offer - great shopping, fab food options and lots to do! However If you’re used to huge club nights out you might find it a little small with only a few clubs. But being able to chill in the parks, visit the lido and have BBQs up leckhampton hill make up for it!
