Amazing nights out, reasonably priced drinks, shopping could be better but good that we have a variety of shops. Could be more Japanese restaurants like more variety for sushi and food like that.

Really great nights out in Cardiff, however can be quite expensive especially on weekends. Lots of choices for food, from all places around the world. Cardiff is constantly growing and attracting more and more high street stores. Transport runs frequently, taxis can be quite pricey.

Since the building of the Millennium stadium, which is now the Principality Stadium, and the transformation of the dock areas to Cardiff Bay, Cardiff has become the hub of Wales as well as the capital. Huge shopping centres at St. David's and John Lewis have provided the city with an overall experience second to none in the Uk.

Great clubs for a night out, hundreds of restaurants and pubs with great food and great beer. Lots of cheap places to eat and drink too. And there is always something to do, the music scene is great and it has a lot of beautiful areas.

Cardiff is the perfect for students! There's everything from shopping to sports centres to night clubs. There's loads of different restaurants/takeaways, so there's always somewhere new to eat out. Cardiff is beautiful in the sunny weather, but also magically come winter with the annual Winter Wonderland. Cardiff is the place to be!!

Very lowkey city with alot of hidden gems. Quieter than most cities, which is much preferred for some. However, can also find alot of things to do if you look around. Beautiful scenery and clean city. Transport is cheaper than most places, and cant beat the cinema prices for students!

A big city with absolutely everything you need right on your doorstep. Cheap travel and plenty to do. Plenty for students as well. A decent array of restaurants. Quite a few nightclubs that aren't too bad if you like clubbing. "Iconic" chippy lane is the place to stop for food after a night out. Uni courses are also cheaper in Wales, as is accommodation (slightly). A large selection of niche cafes. Decent student accommodation.

Great night life and shopping, could do with cheaper meals and transport for students. Lots of things to do, but at quite a high price

Cardiff is one of the biggest smallest cities you will visit. With the two big arenas, shopping centre, shopping arcades, high street and many other things it has everything and more you need all in one small place. Everything is within half an hour and nothing is too far away from anywhere. Cardiff also has a string of night clubs that big named places and always promise an amazing night out. Overall you will never be bored in Cardiff with something to do every day.

It is great city with a lot of beautiful places. However because of the Students the Column roads, for example, is always full of food trash. Nevertheless, the bite park and Cardiff Bay is gorgeous! The shopping area is good, however not all brand seen. I have amazing student life here, but there is like no such place where you can forget who you are. For example in London you can just go to see Any bridges and you are feel free. I can't feel this spirit here, but I love Cardiff!

Cardiff is honestly such a beautiful city. However, I find that everything I quite spread and and you have to be ready for a walk to get everywhere unless you live close to the city centre. The transport around Cardiff is good and time saving but you'd save a lot more money by just walking about. The nights out are great as well, I usually do Pryzm Monday and Friday, Revs on a Tuesday, the CUSU on a Wednesday, Walkabout on a Thursday, Saturday anywhere/CUSU and Sunday at Soda. There's a shopping centre called St David's with as many shops as you can think of, as well as other shops around the town centre. In terms of eating out, the restaurants are concentrated in the town centre, with a food area in St David's, city road/Crwys road also have a lot of nice food places. Cardiff Bay is also a good place to get food but a bit far from the town centre if walking, I'd recommend a train to Cardiff Bay. In terms of entertainment, the cinema in Cardiff is very cheap, for £3.60 a ticket at Cineworld.

Since I live in Cwmbran it takes a little bit of money to get there. Once I'm actually there, theres a LARGE variety of things to do. From entertainment to clothes shopping to food etc etc. The bubble tea stand near the watch song serves the BEST bubble tea, absolutely incredible (bit expensive for the amount) but well worth it. A large variety of restaurants like Nandos, TGI Fridays and a sushi restaurants! The Winter wonderland (ice skating) is incredibly fun, bit hard to get started but as soon as you can actually move a little bit; its GREAT! Fully recommend going to Cardiff. Transport is a bit hard sometimes depending on the day.

Cardiff mini-golf (located in the st.david shopping centre) top floor is an amazing place to visit. They have two really cute courses you can do and at the end you get the shoot the ball through a special 'mouth' where if you can it through the hole in the middle you win a free game. Would recommend. You also get a free drink if you show some university identification.

Cardiff is such a lovely city. It's not too big, but big enough to have the most amazing shopping experience and dining experience. Whether you want to dine at a chain restaurant or a cosy, cute independent restaurant, Cardiff has it all! Nights out *can* be expensive, obviously depending on where you go, but the student nights are so cheap you really can't complain!

Cardiff is like a mini London, except much less busy, a community feel and Welsh. Has everything you could want, without you having to travel for large periods.

I've been a student in Cardiff for 5 years and this city is amazing. There is plenty of culture with the castle being right in the centre... but equally the shopping is incredible! St David's shopping centre has everything you could possibly need. Also amazing restaurants, quirky bars and cinemas and always something going on. Also, the nightlife is incredible (as a student I'm an expert on this!) and there is a night out for every single day of the week! Plus the fact that this city hosts the amazing millennium stadium - home to the Welsh rugby team and so many more incredible events. Honestly couldn't recommend this city more!

Lots of good places to eat including Nando's and Wagamamas. Night life is good, lots of cool bars and clubs to go to. Transport is good but there are often delays as it's such a busy city.

I really love the vibe of the whole city- there's great selection for vegans/vegetarian meals in places such as the secret garden cafe. I also love the little coffee shops littered throughout the city and love finding new ones every time I venture out for a hot chocolate or an exotic latte/tea.

Great city for university students. A lot of entertainment possibilities, fancy dinner nights and lousy partys.

I moved to Cardiff in September expecting to see an overcrowded place not being able to pass through other people. I was happily surprised with what I found- a peaceful place to live with lots of parks and fresh air, an amazing environment for achieving top grades.

Plenty of clubs and bar for a chill night out. Bug variety of restaurants, however, too expensive if you are student.

Friendly locals, small city which is easy to get around without a car, excellent night out and incredibly cheap to live!

Cardiff is a great city for students, especially. It has a wide range of nightlife options, whether that be clubs or bars. It also is a very cheap city for activities such as cinema. There are loads of food options, with a huge food court in the shopping centre st David's in town.
