I’m a marketing student living in Constantine College, at UofY. The campus is quiet but the people are lovely. It is a much more academic based uni then others but the level of teaching is excellent. YUSU are consistent in events and activities and the social experiences on offer are always great.

Psychology at the university of York, is extremely interesting and has confirmed to me that I want to study psychology further on in my life. The exams are easier for the first two years which is good

I study Biology and the facilities for my course are excellent. The lecture theatre and labs are all state of the art. My first year accomodation in Derwent was good but the building itself is old and tired looking. As a college, the experience I had within Derwent was great and I love the collegiate system in York as it immediately feels friendly.

I love it here! The campus is absolutely beautiful... just walking to lectures you pass the lake which looks stunning - especially at night when it’s all lit up. There’s plenty of little hiding spots and forest walks to get lost in! The actual uni is amazing, I study sociology and I love It. The lecturers and seminar leaders are so passionate about the subject and it opens up a lot of really interesting debates! We get so much support too, with assignments, or even just if we’re struggling.

Honestly when I first arrived to the university I immediately thought I would have the worst three years of my life, however this university has proven me wrong on so many levels. They provide the students with all the support and advice you need whether it is financial guidance, career based or mental health awareness. There are societies and events for everyone if you just look and they are incredibly welcoming in.

The University of York is such a stunning campus, dedicated lecturers and has a massive library. I am a student nurse and the course is very full on, there's a lot of content to cover but the staff at the uni do their best to facilitate the work.

I loved UoY! The campus is so beautiful and everything is conveniently located. The collegiate system creates a great college atmosphere in terms of sports competition and nights out.

Campus is okay-looking, but the biology department is lovely. Student Union is good - lots of societies (over 200) and good student events. Careers service - dedicated careers department, really helpful with CVs and mock interviews

York uni is a campus based uni and the fact that everything is close to each other is definitely an advantage. The accommodation, academic departments and on campus bars and restaurants are all within walking distance. I love the many events that are always happening on campus too, and if needs be the city of York is 15 mins away by bus. Personally I am really enjoying my course at this uni, it's fascinating to learn more about a subject I'm genuinely interested in as well as meeting the best people doing it. Overall it's an experience I would definitely recommend

I study English Literature and the pastoral care within the department is incredible. The lecturers all genuinely care about the course content and it comes across in lectures and seminars and helps engage the students. The freedom within the course is also very rare and helped make the dissertation seem less daunting.

York is a great uni in terms of offering the full spectrum of campus facilities, teaching and support, but some things need improving, mainly the open door team mental health facilities. These rarely help a lot of students and the waiting lists are insanely long.

Great uni with excellent facilities. Location of campus is fantastic and the way the campus is set out gives the university a family feel.

Amazing lake campus, not just car parks and buildings like other universities. Very good bars on campus which just good events like quizzes and club nights. College student halls system is very inclusive and good.

The facilities provided by the law school have been first class throughout my three years. There are careeers networking events available to attend for free every week, and often meals and drinks with Law Firms.

The university of York offers a wide range of courses, I studied archaeology and found the department and staff to be welcoming, approachable and provided hands on experience. With the ability to work independently but also having the support of the teaching staff, it helped to develop life long skills and abilities transferable to the specialise field or any other job.

I have had a brilliant 3 years here at York. The location of the city is perfect for me, and the city itself is welcoming, beautiful and has so much to do. All of the staff in the Education department have gone above and beyond to make the experience as good as possible and help us get the most from our qualification. Careers services are brilliant with so many opportunities both for volunteering while at uni and helping find employment afterwards.

I simply love my University. As an international student it has been an amazing experience. They really take care of diversity and the on campus facilities. York in general is also an amazing olace to be. People are extremely friendly and helpful. The University has given me an exposure that i think I wouldn’t had seen or received anywhere else. Overall my experience has been amazing.

The campus of university of York is really nice and new buildings are recently included that is really good. Bars and restaurants on canpus are good, courtyard is one of the best and really good prices, the ones on campus east should be cheaper. The gyms on campus in my oppinion should have been cheaper or even free for us students maybe build one gym for each college. Im really satisfied with my course even though we have problems when we state them down on feedback they solve them out formthe following students. Good expirience overall with a nice environment and very good and helpful stuff.
