Good university and courses. Some accomodation is really great and there's a lot on to get involved with.

There are two campuses; one which is modern, attractive if not slightly desolate and boring. The main campus has some hideous building but some of the new buildings are very nice and the woodland and lakeside feel are a very nice touch. It's also peaceful as it's on the suburbs of york. The main thing with York for me was that it's very vanilla. There's nothing that exciting/radical going on and most students are boring and make the decision to frequent York's average clubs rather than explore other nights out e.g. Leeds or Newcastle. The average student is obsessed with takeaways and netflix but then complains about having no money. Wastemen aren't my cup of tea and if you agree, I'd avoid York and go to Leeds.

Good campus, modern accommodation, sports facilities always improving, lecture rooms could do with updating though, no need to be using blackboards in 2018

Great academic institution capable of serving as a foreground for your career. As an university, the experience is what you make it and this is especially true with the university of York. A day on campus can range from beautifully full of exciting conversations and interesting interactions to a barren and asocial one. If you want to go out of your way to make the experience a worthwhile one it is definitely possible at this institution

Student union provided lots of different events. The campus is Big, which is part of its charm and makes it beautiful, part of the campus is surrounded by a lake. some of the new buildings have amazing facilities.
