3rd year accounting and finance In general I like the structure of my course, staff are super friendly and helpful. The uni has lots of days with employers, careers fairs which we are all encouraged to go to. Additional support with applying for jobs and writing CV e.g. Careers Toolkit. This all helped me to look into more career prospects and developed a more detailed understanding of my subject, However, I believe contact hours aren't enough in third year and timetables need better organisation. Huge gaps or too man lectures/tutorials back to back.

I have really enjoyed studying at the UWE so far. The business school, where most of my classes are, is spaceous and modern.

Good for work experience, sports centre is excellent. Not a bad university to do a masters in. Campus is new, and you are surrounded by similar minded people.

The university is very easy to navigate and has very up to date facilities such as skills labs and computers. However there are lots of problems such as lots of maintainance issues that are never resolved such as toilets and water pipes. The toilets in our accommodation have been refused to be fixed and we are stuck using one between 5 of us as the building is due for renovation and they won't do our toilet early. Overall, the university is good and will support me on my course. My campus is a lot smaller than the main campus and the facilities given are very good.

I am a third year business and law student at uwe. The business facilities have been amazing- the course has been very practical. However law had been difficult and there has been little support for joint award students across the board. The student union is poor as well as support for mental health.

Frenchay campus has brand new buildings and excellent laboratory facilities. As a biological sciences student the facilities are important as well as the careers services to me. The career services have drop in sessions regularly that allow you to also have your cv looked over aswell.

Convenient campus with good bus links and close by supermarkets. However, no events on campus that are inclusive of everyone or fresh, so easy to get bored if you don’t like to go out. Teaching was good dependent on the subject.

The University is overall good. The facilities are available and well kept. The campus on the other hand isn't very comfortable and I don't feel like I want to spend much time at uni because of the buildings. Another issue is with attendance from other students which has made it really hard to stay motivated throughout the year.

I do English language and linguistics, it’s a good course and the lecturers are good. Most parts of the uni are old but big new business block and new SU but SU nights are shit now coz it got moved from Tuesday to Saturday and everyone goes into town instead

Seems like a lot of money considering all the work is done at home. Needs to be more classes and free printing facilities.

Really good support for study. Facilities are not too old and useful. Really high ranking in Building surveying.

The more modern parts of campus are brilliant, for example the new business building. It looks neat and the classrooms are nice to work in. It has plenty of toilet facilities, one on each floor, and the canteen is brilliant. The only issue would be that the windows are electric and not one of my teachers knows how to open them so it does get really sweaty in hot weather!! The main block is pretty out dated and does look like it could be smartened up a bit. The library is very big (four floors) but it is always busy, especially around exam season and you will be very lucky to get a seat. The one zone canteen offers a good selection of food, however it is very expensive for what it is. Considering it is a uni canteen the prices are ridiculous, especially the sandwiches!

Facilities are okay, but for the amount of students whom all pay tuition, it's just average. The Students' Union shop is too overpriced. I'm surprised students still shop there. Careers services are useful and friendly and helped me find a job. The course unfortunately was not for me. I thought I wanted to be an engineer but I quickly turned my head against engineering after year 2. I failed modules and exams, simply because I hate them. I'm due to graduate this year and honestly, I can't wait. The only thing I'll miss is my trampoline club and the athletics club (along with the people in them, ofcourse)

UWE has just had a brand new business block which has opened up and compliments my learning and just way of uni life so much. The facilities, the course and the general experience I have because of this building makes it outstanding. Before it was really glum in the old buildings but if you study business you will be in the new building and it’s so impressive with so many learning zones, lecture halls and open spaces to do work in. The cafe also sells delicious coffee which keeps me going.

Facilities second to none! Help and guidance rather unhelpful. Feel like they are only there to take money and not give anything back.

Like the Uni for it's Social Life and Atmosphere, but the teaching is sub par. My course is ignored and unappreciated. In particular, they often forget to even update their presentations each year so they're not even up to date. Overall disappointing, can teach myself more than am taught by the professors.

the university is average. The staff are friendly and helpful. The student union could have better social events.

My university does offer state of the art facilities from my course in architecture. However many of the lecturers are uninspiringand at many times patronising. The university is also incredibly stingy. With students having to pay for their own printing and basic materials necessary for the course. Offers no trips abroad as part of the course. And even though the uni is a city edge campus, offers no free or discounted bus pass for its students. There are no free sporting facilities on campus such as games courts or fields. Any use of sport facilities requires payment.

Everything are on campus which is quite handy when you need to get to somewhere else in uni. Most of the building should renovate it as it is getting a bit old

Glenside campus does not have many social activities or host anything to enhance the nightlife on campus. Needs more facilities and newer accommodation.

The campus is big and it’s easy to get lost, but you can find there everything you need - from medical centre to a bank. OneZone is a great place to hang out during breaks between lectures, good quality food in a reasonable price with nice music accompanying. The courses are generally interesting and creative, however that depends mostly on the lecturer. UWE stopped in the 20th Century when it comes to technological advance - computers are old, it is not easy to print something (not many printers and complicated software), fire alarm is going on quite often but everyone is used to that and no one really reacts. I haven’t used the career service but I know from my friend that it is very helpful, staff is happy to help with career advising, CV’s, motivation letters etc. The student union has a modern building, there is an always occupied ping-pong table which is a great idea. It’s a great place to hang out and meet interesting people. My overall experience is good but I perceive a lack of organization of the university. It his hard to get, for instance, a document needed to open a bank account as no one from staff knows what to do diverting students to other offices.

University is okay, but there is a lot to improve like student facilities and the uni should test all the lecturers properly before recruiting because most of them are crap ! Can’t understand

Lots of activities including a cheap student bar on campus, lock in is a definite no as you’ll be the only person there however £1.50 pints don’t even make up for that
