The University of Warwick

The gym is very average and needs improving - however the classes are well worth attending. I work in the Student Union and it is brilliant - I think it is just wonderful. I think the campus is slightly outdated but still nice. I have not experienced much of the organisation of the University but from what I have, I have been pleased. I am thoroughly enjoying my course & think my lecturers are just wonderful.

The medical school is very much distinct from the rest of campus and we aren't really included a lot of the time by the campus.

Overall I really enjoy my time at Warwick and think being a student here offers a wide range of opportunities. Events like the Economics Summit are organised regularly and are a great chance to network, to see how the things we learn in lectures and seminars work in real life. We have various societies which is extremely helpful to break the cycle of studying-partying-sleeping (that most of the students do) with something thoughtful or sporty and to find likeminded people or to learn new skills and enhance a CV by taking up organizational roles in the society’s life. My course is a very new one at the university (Liberal Arts) which means that many things are still changing, but the tutors and professors are really eager to use our feedback to improve it. Not that it would need fundamental improvement: I think it offers a very interdisciplinary and skill-based approach that is (as I suppose) appreciated in the professional life as such and I found the tasks, and the freedom of choice that we have been given truly challenging. What I really miss is some financial support in form of scholarship or grant or hardship fund, for which as an Eastern European I cannot apply. Also, living in a campus university makes you feel safe and close to your friends but is remote too sometimes.

Warwick campus is a really nice place. There are over 250 societies, and the ones I have had experiences with have been amazing. Warwick is like a little bubble but it’s nice because you feel really safe on campus and get to know people well. The accommodation on campus is well priced and ranges from basic to really fancy, however some accommodation off campus isn’t the best.

Warwick has a good range of accommodation and the campus uni set up is a great environment to be in and creates a great atmosphere. The courses are well organised and presented, I take psychology and the support from the psychology department is better than I anticipated.

The campus is compact but very useful. There's lots to do with the student union and the societies are great and varied. Careers services are very good for coporate careers, not so much creative careers but they are making progress.

Great history department and overall humanities department. Enjoyable and thorough content - a good range of lecturers

The course and campus are fantastic. There's everything you need within walking distance. The night life can be pretty dead though and getting to both Coventry and Leamington spa (the nearest towns) require a bus journey, which costs an arm and a leg.

The University of Warwick is bang right in the middle of nowhere! From day 1 you think you feel lost and with nowhere to go... give it a few days. After those few days you’ll make friends with some of the best people, you’ll join the best team, and you’ll have the best nights out. By your third year you start feeling like the King (or Queen) of the campus, friends with everyone and always caught up in convo on the bus to and from Leamington. An overall amazing experience and I wouldn’t change it for anything.

Warwick is a campus university, which to some is the transition they need from leaving home. However I found that after being independent in my home town, I soon had my independence removed after being on campus. The campus is situated between Coventry and leamington, therefore it’s not just a walk into town-often a bus ride to ‘escape’ the student life. Campus to me felt like living at school, it was quite strange. However the teaching and academic side is excellent, and everyone strives to help you get a high mark. The range of clubs and sports is excellent; and the SU is run well with fun event nights. Accommodation ranges is also good, but you aren’t guaranteed your first.

The campus is really big and always improving. The facilities for my course (English) are okay, though the secondary texts for essays can be very old sometimes. The careers servics advertise a lot of finance/law opportunities but try a little bit to get more relevant opportunities at the department fairs. My department as a whole is very organised and I've never had any complaints.

The campus is very nice and it's a large university so exploring it was fun. The university has great facilities with a library that has all the books I need most of the time. The SU do try to put on events. My negative on the university is that many buldings do need some refurbishing, except for maths of course. Also the gym is tiny.

I study English literature. I thoroughly enjoy the course and the amount of choice that I am given regarding my modules. However the organisation within the department is poor and grades are often not returned on time. Campus is beautiful at all times of year and halls were good quality. I particularly enjoyed my time in Heronbank. The humanities building needs updating

The campus is nice because everything is very close together! My course is very hard work. Nightlife is quite average. Uni life isn’t as fun as expected but is getting better.

Very conducive for studying! Has basic necessity but can be boring at some time. Probably need more restaurants and less pricey option for good food on campus. Upgrade some old buildings to match their new buildings.

The campus is fairly compact though has a lot of unattractive post-modernist buildings. Regardless, new modern buildings are being built constantly. The lecturers are, in general, good and the same can be said for seminar tutors. The university is generally rather helpful, for example, was able to get my laptop fixed for free and get an emergency loan for costs of living.

My course has been very helpful in encouraging me to develop my personal skills as well as my professional skills in the workplace.

Not enough space for revision and independent work but supportive when it comes to careers with available advice and many career fairs

Very welcoming and beautiful campuses. The on campus accommodations are homey and decent. Unfortunately there was not much orientation for students entering in Term 2 but i heard Term 1 orientations was fantastic.

Lovely social life. Freshers week was an absolutely great time even though we don’t have an official freshers week like other unis do. People are extremely friendly and the club on campus is perfect for freshers events. Great sports facilities with a large gym, swimming pool, climbing wall and indoor halls. The student union is very helpful and good at fixing any problems with tickets or work etc. definitely a good time.

Everything needed is within walking distance on campus. Careers services are very helpful with a lot of opportunities to chat and get advice. Overall a great experience, but living on campus can sometimes feel like you’re in a university bubble.

The campus is amazing, there are lot of great sport facilities, the online website related to my course is really serviceable and make the learning easier. The student union is very efficient and help us to be well organised

Very campus based university, unlike city universities (eg university of Birmingham). Very lively atmosphere in the student bar and around other places, including the Grid and Library. Nightlife is easily accessible too.
