It is a good university overall, the campus is really nice and the facilities are good enough. Overall the teaching is good, however there are some modules with professors that are really bad and I really think that the moment we pay 9000£ per year we deserve a better service and teaching. The societies are good as there are many of them and the student union is quite good as there is quite some effort put in this. Career centres are mediocre, I believe they could do better. Organization of the uni is good. So overall, the Sussex uni is quite a good university, however I believe that it could do much better for the money that it gets.

Campus is very nice, there is a lot of studying space, computer clusters for students to use. There could be more water points on campus for students to use. There isn't enough seating available around the campus, however some new benches have been put in several places last month. My course was very interesting and intellectually stimulating, however there were modules that couldve been better organised, very often it took two months to get grades back for an assignment. Often lecture recordings weren't provided due to equipment in lecture theatres not working.

The campus facilities here at the university of Sussex is great. It accommodates everything. The fantastic library has a vast amount of information. I study marketing and management and the support here is impeccable. The careers services are amazing abs they help guide with the right choices for you. Overall, the university is a great place to be at.

University of Sussex is a great place to study! I’m focusing on the I University itself and not about the location (Brighton) which is amazing too. Sussex genuinely cares about its students. I have been to counselling provided by the university and they have truly helped me through difficult times. I have been told numerous times that my mental health is number 1 priority. Enyhtong else comes after, therefore there is a lot less pressure regarding dealines. The student union provides a large range of activities and theme weeks (mental health week, sports ...) which encourages us to discover new hobbies and activities. The quality of the teaching is very good.

I study at British Indtitute of Modern Music (BIMM) Brighton. My course is Music Business. Overall the course has been really useful in terms of the number of work opportunities thrown at you, and masterclasses every week with industry professionals. Most of the lecturers are also industry professionals rather than just “teachers”, they have first hand experience in the industry and are up to date with all the current trends. However, some lecturers like to gloat about their careers more than they like to stick to the course content which can get tiring. The course itself is broad, not only covering the actual business of music but business in general and other aspects of the music industry such as sound production. The campus’ are spread out across the city which can get annoying. I personally find the extra-curricular activities to be significantly more engaging that the course itself. Alongside the course I have worked at a number of festivals and events gaining valuable experience in the industry, giving me the skills and contacts needed to actually manage to gain work after the course finishes. I have worked on a TV show, and have hosted 4 of my own events and started my own business. Overall, good course and good uni.

good course leaders but difficult transition to uni due to accommodation problems- foundation year was guaranteed on campus accommodation but I was put in Hove which was a while away from campus. The campus is nice and I get support with my academic advisor.

One of the best universities to be in Located in the sunny Brighton where the whether is always nicer Compared to rest of England. The campus is huge with something for everyone. Teachers are extremely friendly and very approachable.

Nice small campus. Library is a bit too small for everyone. But Brighton is a great city to live in.

I am doing a foundation year in social sciences and have thoroughly enjoyed the course so far. The two core modules have a variety of topics to interest people from many academic backgrounds, and there is a great selection for the elective module. I personally am taking the BSL and Deaf culture module, which is brilliant and has amazing lecturers. The student union is very active and there is plenty to get involved with if you want to gain work experience or join a society.

The campus has a lovely community to feel and having everything together is lovely. The buildings are a bit outdated and navigation isn't that easy but the everything needed for your course is accesible and perfectly organised.

Sussex is welcoming and inclusive. My course (International Development BA Hons) is amazing, the lecturers and tutors are super interesting to listen to and their teaching is insightful.

The campus is acceptable although intially you can get easily lost as sign posts are not marked well. Experience was bad due to strikes, faulty Resources, bad IT services, sometimes long waits to get any responses from lectureres.

Sussex is a nice campus with lots of facilities. However, the uni needs to improve its teaching quality.

Very concrete campus, it's quite windy sometimes. There are alot of seagulls, which can be nice. Lots of books in the library, which can be nice. Yeah, it's not bad as it goes.

Good uni. Modules are good and flexible. Academic advisors are helpful and you get a lot of support from lecturers. Services are good. Buildings are a bit old.

Large beautiful campus just outside brighton. Gives the option for one to experience both on campus living and city living as a student, which is invaluable. Great selection of courses with the option to combine your degree with many subjects. There is also the option in every degree to do a year abroad studying at a partner institution. Overall a great uni, but low contact hours and absent staff are common

Sussex is a wonderful university, with great staff and students, and nice general facilities. I would definitely recommend studying here. Good campus - nice places to eat and hang out, however the uni campus is let down by the amount of quiet places to sit and study. The library in particular was often full to the point of people waiting for free spaces, and when you have a short time between lectures and seminars to do some work, this is far from ideal. Once seated though, the library is a great place with a good atmosphere and plenty of books and resources to help with revision and essays. My course was enjoyable - I studied a joint degree of Politics and Sociology, and I found that the two subjects both compliment each other in terms of content, and allowed me to explore a wide range of topics. As well as this, they were both organised very similarly and well which meant that it was easy to stay on top of my work. Judging from friends courses as well, Sussex in general seemed to be very on-top of organisation, with many tutors marking work early and other staff making extra effort to communicate and answer questions from students at all points of the year.

The campus is situated in a nice area, not spread across town which is useful. The surrounding public transport is decent with train and bus links from town and surrounding areas directly to the university. Lack of a decent student union could be seen as a drawback to the university.

My Uni has really good deals for all the students. For eg. Every Tuesday there is Falmer market where one can buy fresh and relatively cheap vegetables and fruits. Also there are 200 different societies which includes almost all fields and every week there are events organized by these societies. My favourite is Dog walking society and as the campus is really big there are good places for such activities and other sports too. There is also a Buddy scheme event which has interesting set of events like Yoga, Zumba, Ballet and its free for all students.

I love it here! It's amazing, educational and very fun. I have learnt a lot about this place and I have found it very easy to co exist among people different from me

Really like the university it has great facilities however I think that it could really improve the student union as there is not much to it? Maybe add a Club as that will really up it's game

The campus is nice, not the most modern overall and some what old fashioned but some new facilities. The course isn't run that smoothly and feels a bit up in the air at times, but with contact made it can be organised. The student union is great, very inclusive and raises awareness of current issues while giving everyone the opportunity to join.
