Performing Arts

The dance societies at Southampton are great. They make an effort to invest in top quality teachers but classes are a very affordable price. Every year the dance show Pure Dance is held for 2 days either on campus or the Southampton; it is a big show incorporating multiple dances from all the societies at all levels and everyone is welcome, it brings so many people together. The only downfall is that classes the past couple of years have become incredibly busy and often require sign ups, this is not to the detriment of the society and more a problem with increasing student numbers without increasing facilities but can be frustrating. None the less classes can still have up to 30 people in them and the roomy dance studio with sprung floor is good for this.
