Good location for overseas student. But school fee is too expensive. Need £ 12000 and is hard to let everyone come to study

Northumbria university is an excellent place to study, city campus have up-to-date and modern facilities. The library consists of 7 floors, with great computers and also macs. In regards to the library, the book choices are amazing for your course, library staff are friendly/helpful and opening times are easily accessible for students. The library has a very modern feel, and looks lovely all round. City campus is also great for social life, with many cafes and food outlets to choose from. These include; campus shop, cafes, subway, pizza, and the student union bar. The food is reasonably priced and easy to find when you're in a rush. Finally, city is very modern and up kept very well, with the added touch of sports central which is great if you want to get fit. Then, there is coach lane campus, this campus is about a mile from city campus and compared to city, it is sadly in need of some love and care. The buildings are old, and the location is not great. There was an ok amount of food outlets, featuring 3 cafes and a shop. However, recently the only shop on that campus has closed along with one cafe, leaving coach lane campus with only 2 cafes, sadly. The food is ok priced and nice if you wish to have a quick lunch. Although coach lane could use some love, the teaching and actual facilities are excellent, in my opinion even better than city campus. The lecturers constantly go above and beyond to help, meanwhile the library is filled with the necessary books helpful to your course. If the book isn't there, simply ask and the very friendly library staff who will be more than happy to help. The library itself has 3 floors in total, enough for the small coach lane students. Overall this is an ok campus, but could use some greatly needed improvements to the food, and social aspects for students. As I said previously there is only 2 cafes, which is the only places students can socialise apart from the Student union seating area. There use to be a gym at coach lane, however again, this has now closed, due to lack of improvements vs city campus. Overall, Northumbria university is a great place to study, no matter which campus you are based on, with books and excellent teaching. I fully recommended Northumbria university to anyone, this would be 100% a 5 star rating if coach lane was more taken care of and updated.

Been at Northumbria university for nearly 3 years and I’ve got to say, the campus facilities are modern, professional and clean the building take a Piet Mondrian inspiration and a great place to go and study, unfortunately the lectures on my course of Film and TV Production believe after the 1st year there is no room for mistakes, the career services have a job fayre around 2 weeks after freshers and happen twice a month for 2-3 months at the student union. I’d recommend Northumbria to anyone who is looking to study in an amazing campus at the heart of Newcastle Upon Tyne

Really good modern facilities, with accommodation within walking distance of all learning buildings. Only issue is the sports fields and facilities are so far away that they involve either getting a lift or public transport.

The nightlife in Newcastle is spectacular, bars such as ‘house of smith’, ‘bonbar’ and ‘digital’ hold very good student events which are of a reasonable price. I would highly recommend.

I study film and tv production which is a great course, the study abroad opportunities are incredible as I’m going to New York to study. The student union is also great and karaoke on a Thursday is an amazing night out.

I study Graphic Design and I absolutely love my course and the university. The facilities available to me on my course are amazing and I can't fault them. The tutors are friendly and incredibly helpful and the technicians will help with anything you would like to design and make.

I'm doing a foundation course in law which is awful but that's just because of the modules. Most of the lecturers are very helpful and understanding, they try their best. We also have many activities such as I've skating and paid trips to London which despite being poorly organized they were very fun. The university itself has put alot of money into improvments such as library revamps, New subways and cafes, and a new computer science building. They have also listened to our requests and opened the law building 24 hours for assesment periods

I've loved my course throughout the three years but it's waiting on me that it won't leave me with any specific qualifications and it is likely I will have to study more to gain a qualified job role. This wasn't an issue at first. But is now I'm getting the the go so stages of my degree with no real clue as to what my next step will be.

Campus is small and compact which is great if you're running late. Most lecturers are helpful if you go to them. Some lectures are so packed it’s difficult to concentrate.

It provides a good environment to study. However if the law practice library could open 24/7 that would be more perfect. This is because city campus library may be a bit far away for some students. Overall I'm proud to be a Northumbrian.

Overall the campus is great but communication between faculties needs work. The library usually has seats, cafe on campus is a little pricey but well needed.

I general I am happy that I came to Northumbria to study my masters after an initial plan to do a PGCE fell through last minute. The whole application process was very quick and easy and it was a relief to gain a place on a course that would help me further my knowledge of a field I studied throughout undergrad. Although I would much prefer more module variety and options (there aren't any optional modules for my course) so that I can explore more specific areas in more depth.

Lecturers won't record lectures so disabled students or ill students struggle. Food is cheap but cocktails are horrible. Library is good coffees are way too expensive

Northumbria university is great as it offers excellent study facilities, which are modern and updated and have a variety of study spaces. City campus features everything you could ask - gym, shop, subway etc. however, their other campus coach lane (my place of study) is not so great. It's old, run down, with 1 shop that only accepts cash. It needs updating. The plus to that campus is that it's quiet, friendly, and study spaces are ok

There are plenty of facilities to suit the needs of different students such as private study rooms and a full facilitated library with every book you could think of. It is an easily accessible university with fantastic features.

The student union at this campus is very helpful and supportive especially when you have a problem. I highly recommend this university because their organisation, careers service, teach and resources is outstanding.

Campus is beautiful and well located with a frat bus link to Coach Lane Campus. Student Union isn't the greatest especially when it's busy, but the sofas are decent. I'd generally like to have a seminar that is actually the length of time it's supposed to be and not 5 minutes long when it's the only thing I've bloody turned up for. Library study rooms are a piss take as well, large monitors are never working and they don't tell you beforehand so you can't do group work cause you spend the session trying to get the bloody computer to work.

The univeristy as a whole is good. Sports science degree is very well put together, good teaching staff and well structured.

The overall experience of staff has been fantastic, welcoming and friendly. Always available to ask if anything is required and teaching is on the whole good.

It was a canny University but they didn't do a lot to support struggling students such as myself when I went through a few crisises in my home life resulting in me leaving my studies with no qualifications but significant debt still.

The Univercity itself is amazing plenty of facilities for everyone to use very high standards and professional lecturers

Great university overall, very supportive in terms of resources, friendliness and general 'newness'. Sport is great and one of the best in the UK for BUCS. Research is great. Very hands on uni, with strengths in engineering, art, education, health and social etc

the staff are really friendly and the university itself is amazing. the student union events were great throughout freshers and helped us all get to know each other and what life in Newcastle would be like.
