Being a final year student- ive been part of the ACS society for 3 years now. As the years have gone past it has made many improvements. To begin with- when I was in first year the ACS wasnt much of a society about bringing black culture together it was more about coming together to go to the same raves/parties however since continous feedback and new leaders- the society now has substance and shed light on the black community in many different ways. With the new campus changes at The University of Northampton, the ACS isn't crammed in one small room but instead takes place in the new improved Creative Hub. The events are way more creative ranging from debate nights, gameshows, bringing in professionals in the industry to talk on adversaties met in-dustry. All in all this type of improvement therefore encourages students of all ethnic groups to become comfortable and involved in the ongoings on university students.

The society failed to organise their events in a manner that would allow new and old students to mix and create bonds. Some of the events were simply announced and run on short notice which meant that few to none attended the events. Overall I feel they may have redeemed themselves with the final meet and greet even that they hosted but have also left a feeling of distrust in any future events that they may try to hold.

Good vibes at every event, seems as though everyone enjoys themselves. There is a wholesome community aspect given from this society
