All the facilities offered for students are amazing. So many spaces to study, work, chill, drink, eat or just enjoy wondering around. The student union is huge so loads of rooms can be used by societies, which are mostly cheap and fun, and you can choose out of so many!

Amazing and supportive staff in particular to those who did not do Law prior to the LLM. University is extremely organised also in terms of the course it always ran smoothly and if any issues occurred they were always communicated beforehand.

The university being in the centre of Newcastle makes it a lively and busy experience. There are hundred of societies and sports teams to get involved with if you wish, however amongst my friends sport is slightly undervalued. It is a very cheap city for both drinking and living. Jesmond, the main living area for second and third year students is up there with the nicest areas to live in in comparison to friends universities that I’ve visited. Whilst being a city, you have the beach just 30 minutes away which can be a good break every now and then. The campus is about half an hours walk from the main living area but there are plenty of bars and shops in Jesmond. The campus is fairly close together but obviously depends if which subject you are studying. I haven’t had much contact with the careers service but I believe that are very helpful and are available by turn up sessions and bookable ones. I study psychology which I really enjoy and find, for the most part, very interesting. It’s a fairly large course consisting of mainly females but we are able to have smaller seminars and receive more one to one attention.

The university campus is surprisingly really pretty! The city itself is really clean and tidy and the people are really friendly. The facilities at Newcastle are amazing, with a new sports centre being built, lots of library space and new buildings for lectures. Newcastle has the best of a campus and city based university.

Newcastle university campus is massive! So many people are crossing same paths everyday, there are usually many slots open with freebies and different stuff that is useful for students at least. On my course we have a huge well equipted facilities I mean labs. I am doing Chemistry degree and could not expect anything more than what we have. I am super proud to be at this uni and represent all the strenght and powerful mind Northies have!

Amazing campus and atmosphere. Lots of opportunities with the SU and very helpful, supportive lecturers. The language department are phenomenal and go above and beyond to ensure your learning experience is the best it can be.

As it is the first year of my course, there have been some teething issues. Overall the staff are attentive and will aim to help students as much as they can. However, the organisation of the course could do with some improvement, timetabling has been a large issue, and the rescheduling of lectures has at times been problematic - for one module we had the first lecture in week 3, this wasn’t even due to strikes! Overall I would recommend the course, in a few years when the problems have been ironed out.

Newcastle is a really good school but the standards are really high. I’m on a law masters course and compared to my mates in other universities, I’m take 12 course divided into two semesters. We learn through seminars and no lectures which is quite overwhelming preparing for 6 seminars every week .

Newcastle uni has a great reputation and is in one of the best cities. The campus is right in the town centre and takes minutes to walk to from student accommodation. The nightlife is great and there’s a club or bar for every person’s tastes. There are a number of libraries a short walk away which provide both loud and quiet areas to study in. Newcastle is just a great city with everything you could need. Many of the buildings are also beautiful. The weather is often awful but the bar and food places inside the students union mean you don’t have to travel far for all student necessities.

The career service is very proactive in getting involved and providing information regarding future employment and opportunities. So pleased I chose to come to Newcastle University! The campus is so close to everything and has everything you need. The facilities are good but the best part is the Philip Robinson library. Newcastle is an amazing, friendly city where there is always something to do as well as having a great nightlife.

Campus is easy to get around, it is handy that it is in the city itself for transport links. The facilities in my building are great! We get to work in brand new labs and the staff are great. The course is relatively well organised. (biochemistry)

Newcastle University is great overall. The campus is beautiful, especially when the sun is out (which admittedly isn't very often) and has awesome facilities. The library is huge and well equipped, though often busy in exam periods, and the classrooms are exceptional. One of the best facilities for me is the Language Resource Centre which is purpose built and solely for the use of language students like me. The quality of teaching is good although as a first year language student I feel like we could be being pushed slightly more. I feel like the more advanced students have been twiddling their thumbs as the straddlers have been catching up on my course. The strikes have affected me a lot which is a shame. I usually have 15 contact hours a week which has been reduced to 5-8 the past month or so. Hopefully things will improved once a resolution has been reached. In terms of the student union I think they do a good job and I'm constantly recieving emails from them about various opportunities and events. I'm in the infamous Castle Leazes student accommodation which is basic but satisfies all my needs as would all the other accommodations. There's a very wide choice ranging from where I am, to big rooms with double beds and ensuites with a bath, meaning everyone can choose wherever suits them and their budget. It's great that the city has such a student centred area in Jesmond, and I'm looking forward to moving their next year. Perhaps my favourite thing about the uni is its location. It's situated right at the top of the high street (Northumberland Street) and you constantly feel the buzz of what it an amazing, friendly and vibrant city. Overall I'm loving my time here and would recommend Newcastle University to anyone.
