Overall fantastic university. Architecture is stunning, some amazing lecturers in the field. Organization could be better with admin, wellbeing services poor as well as dyslexia services not being great.

The university allows a good transition from A-Levels. Although hard, the atmosphere is always big and activities, especially the ones as part of student unions are so good and interesting.

The campus and most of the buildings are really pretty. I enjoy walking around campus. The student union is always a place to stop by and kill some time between lectures. The learning facilities/lecture theatres are good. The sport facilities are okay too however I wish the membership was cheaper. I study Marketing BSc and enjoy my course very much. I'm glad that I came to Newcastle.

I love Newcastle university however they should be more socialising areas. I am studying architecture however my year group is not within the architecture building so when I have to get scan something or print something I have to change buildings.. There should be more shops with in the student union.

The canpus design is good where buildings are within the same area with walkable distance and is right next to town centre. The laboratories are well equipped and with new instruments which is really good for students. My course leaders are very active in making changes upon student's request. They value student's opinion and alter according to it. The career services is brilliant as well. They are really helpful in helping students to build their CVs and in job hunting. They also provide a lot of interview tips and practices for students to gain confidence.

Newcastle University is a very good university, with high quality of teaching. The lecturers and teachers are always there to be supportive, no matter what the issue, and I have had invaluable advice from my personal tutor which has helped me greatly to know where to go from when I graduate. Definitely the right choice of uni for me!

Overall, Newcastle University is a great place to go study. The main campus is very pretty and a lot of effort is made to keep the gardens in top condition throughout the year. Facilities are good, some buildings need a bit of an upgrade as they are getting a bit old. Student Union is very active, lots of events going on all throughout the year. Sports facilities are top notch, and IT services are good. The admin side of NU can be a bit confusing but staff are usually good at helping you out. Newcastle is also an amazing city with everything a student needs.

The university facilities are really good, although quite standard i.e. gym etc. There's an abundance of societies on offer. The students union is quite average and gigs are on about twice a month. However, club nights no longer exist at the union and drinks are quite expensive compared to other bars in Newcastle. The careers service is extremely useful. The course I did was unorganized and not well structured. While I was at university the course dropped 15 places down the ratings and went from 98% student satisfaction to 58%.

Newcastle is a great city for lots of aspects, it's a small city but with a lot packed in with lots of different scenes. There's great clubs, bars and pubs and also the quayside. The facilities and teaching for my psychology course is great and there's lots of opportunities provided. A lot of uni accommodation is very good but for mine at castle leazes was expensive for what you got.

I love how central the university is, and it’s great having the student union at the heart of the campus. I study history which is a very interesting course, but would love a few more contact hours. I believe that the student well being provisions could be improved greatly.

Newcastle have a nice but small gym. it is mainly busy just before supper and after but never too bad. they have a great career service how are always there to help with your cv and looking at internships. The library will have all your course books needed (i didn't buy any book in first year. wait to see what you really need in each course)

The new buildings are very good, some of the oldest building, like the Metz Court need some improvements.

Friendly staff and students. Never felt like I wasn’t home. Course (combined honours) gives me the flexibility I craved while still giving me a world class education

The university has a beautiful campus and great dental school and staff. However the gym facilities let it down a lot for me

I am a final year and newcatle university, i study combiner honours (business and sociology). The campus at newcastle is great, i like the historic buildings and friendly atmosphere. I enjoy my course, i find it challenging but rewarding. One of the best parts about newcastle is the careers service, they have been very helpful with helping me find part time work and improving my cv. While newcastle is great, i think they could improve by providing cheaper first year accomodation. Recently, lots of new accomdation has been built, however it is all over 110 pounds per week. Newcastle is a great student city and the university really adds to what is already a great place to study. I do not regret going to newcastle one bit, i would reccomend it to anyone . They could also improve by providing a better gym.

The campus has great architecture and is very easy to navigate around. As well as this, the student union is right in the centre of campus for whenever you fancy a cheeky pint in the sun.... or when you need some computer to do work. Right next to the SU is the careers service that is outstanding and always offers help and support when it comes to your course, finding work and any problems you have.

The university is a welcoming and inviting area which separates the students doing different subjects. There are social integration activities which take place on occasion but overall a great place to study.

The university campus is really nice. Its located in the city centre which is close to the amenities. Lots of good student accomodation nearby too. Other courses seem to be good but tbh the architecture department needs improvement imo. Classes get cancelled on a regular basis and we pay much more than other faculties but we dont get as much learning hours/ lectures as them. But i am just talking abt the architecture major, and this is just my personal experience. Maybe others have better experience than me but personally i wish i hadnt spent my money here

The university being in the centre of Newcastle makes it a lively and busy experience. There are hundred of societies and sports teams to get involved with if you wish, however amongst my friends sport is slightly undervalued. It is a very cheap city for both drinking and living. Jesmond, the main living area for second and third year students is up there with the nicest areas to live in in comparison to friends universities that I’ve visited. Whilst being a city, you have the beach just 30 minutes away which can be a good break every now and then. The campus is about half an hours walk from the main living area but there are plenty of bars and shops in Jesmond. The campus is fairly close together but obviously depends if which subject you are studying. I haven’t had much contact with the careers service but I believe that are very helpful and are available by turn up sessions and bookable ones. I study psychology which I really enjoy and find, for the most part, very interesting. It’s a fairly large course consisting of mainly females but we are able to have smaller seminars and receive more one to one attention.

Amazing campus and atmosphere. Lots of opportunities with the SU and very helpful, supportive lecturers. The language department are phenomenal and go above and beyond to ensure your learning experience is the best it can be.

Campus is easy to get around, it is handy that it is in the city itself for transport links. The facilities in my building are great! We get to work in brand new labs and the staff are great. The course is relatively well organised. (biochemistry)

The Newcastle University campus is great, the redbrick buildings really make it feel special. The facilities are state of the at with many renovations taking place all the time so everything's up to date!

Newcastle University is great overall. The campus is beautiful, especially when the sun is out (which admittedly isn't very often) and has awesome facilities. The library is huge and well equipped, though often busy in exam periods, and the classrooms are exceptional. One of the best facilities for me is the Language Resource Centre which is purpose built and solely for the use of language students like me. The quality of teaching is good although as a first year language student I feel like we could be being pushed slightly more. I feel like the more advanced students have been twiddling their thumbs as the straddlers have been catching up on my course. The strikes have affected me a lot which is a shame. I usually have 15 contact hours a week which has been reduced to 5-8 the past month or so. Hopefully things will improved once a resolution has been reached. In terms of the student union I think they do a good job and I'm constantly recieving emails from them about various opportunities and events. I'm in the infamous Castle Leazes student accommodation which is basic but satisfies all my needs as would all the other accommodations. There's a very wide choice ranging from where I am, to big rooms with double beds and ensuites with a bath, meaning everyone can choose wherever suits them and their budget. It's great that the city has such a student centred area in Jesmond, and I'm looking forward to moving their next year. Perhaps my favourite thing about the uni is its location. It's situated right at the top of the high street (Northumberland Street) and you constantly feel the buzz of what it an amazing, friendly and vibrant city. Overall I'm loving my time here and would recommend Newcastle University to anyone.
