Respectable uni with amazing library and building amenities, lots of resources available. But not a lot of personal individual help and mental support etc. The buildings vary a lot in how well kept they are

The student union has a great exec team, but isn't the best place to hang out. The course is great and the staff who teach me are fantastic.

The campus facilities are good, lots of places to revise but can get really busy. Lectures can be mixed in quality, but seminar leaders for my course haven’t been great. The uni needs to have more for commuting students to be involved in. The career service is good.

Overall university ranking is very good but i think support for students to survive through course is very little and expects students to work on their own and their lecture material is not so good

The campus is spread out and not confined to one area, which is something I really like. I do think the teaching on my course (Chemical Engineering) could be a little better, but I really appreciate the facilities that are available to me as a student. The careers service is out of this world, they have helped me so much and enabled me to secure a graduate job. I really enjoyed my time in Manchester.

Uni of manchester is great. However, I personally had bad experiences with my personal advisors or any academic stuff who had to follow my particular case. Several times I have been ignored or felt like I was on my own regarding academic issues

I think the Politics and International Relations course is fantastic. If you are looking for a radical and progressive understanding of International Relations then Manchester is your best bet. There is a wide variety of different areas within the Politics department meaning you can usually find what you would like. I think the teaching on the course is fantastic will helpful and truly supportive staff. I personally have a massive problem with the management of the uni however, Nancy Rothwell fundamentally doesn't seem to care abut the wellbeing of her staff and students, as shown during the strikes to protect teaching staff pensions. She does not take the side of the staff or students and instead focuses on the economic gain of the university. She wants to make people believe that the university is focused on social justice, but is overwhelming not the case.

Some of the facilities for BA subjects are dated, for example more articles that are mandatory to read should be available on line. Careers service didn’t offer much advise for joining a masters degree at UoM. However overall the uni is very good due to the standard of teaching and feedback.

My course chemistry is a great course, high quality lecturers and get the chance to use state of the art equipment. Main campus nice and getting much better with addition of green areas. Rarely go in the students union as nothing in there for me

Manchester is a fantastic place to learn in the presence of genuine experts in their fields. It has great links with industry and future employers and is well located in the heart of the city to provide both social and vocational opportunities. However the campus itself is need of improvements such as more spaces to study and upgraded halls of residence.

The university is really good. Some of the work could be better arranged but the societies and the people here are really nice!

University of Manchester is very strategically located. The University is near city centre and curry mile. For International students it is a very good place to be. In fact, more than 80% of the population is from other nationalities. The level of education is very high Chinese population has a dominance at the University, about 50% of the total students are chinese followed by about 10% Indian. I would suggest that at least 7 in IELTS or 104 in TOEFL. Because although University may accept you. It will be difficult to survive.

Staff / lecturers are really helpful and facilities on campus are really helpful. Have used careers service and found it very informative.

I find the geology course great, there are some amazing lecturers who are so nice and very helpful. However a couple are not so good, despite this the support system available is great. The modules are in general very engaging and a wide range of options are available. The main earth sciences building has a great atmosphere and is nice to work in.

My course is okay, too much work load though. The SU is fine. Freshers was fun but the wristbands are a waste of money. RIP Antwerp and Sankeys.

there are two main university campus and accommodations are located in three areas relatively close to uni, facilities include 24 hour libraries in almost every building, student support, student union which host several events and promote many things, my course is Adult Nursing which is so far great; each person has an academic advisor who you can go to if ever confused or struggling and the course teaches different ways to advance in nursing, personally trying to become an Advanced Nurse practitioner

I'm a 3rd year student here and I have to say that I have enjoyed my time here alot. The campus is often being build upon, creating green spaces, but this can cause inconvenience in the building stage. The uni also caters to people of any gender by having open bathrooms for anyone to use, however these cannot be found in every building.

needs cheaper food, the teachers and staff are helpful but the strikes didnt benefit students at all. The accommodation is way too expensive for what is is, and the university should consider renovating or lowering the price of student halls.

The teaching quality on the llb Law course is the best however the facilities leave a lot to be desired however this is forgivable as we are currently annexing another subjects building.

An amazing city for students. It has a great night life and everything is very accessible. Buses run frequently and straight to the uni campus. The uni itself offers many societies and the facilities are very good. The student union could be better, in terms of the types of events they organise.

Excellent facilities such as the library and an amazing student union building. I couldn't be happier with my university choice.

The campus is very accessible, with nearly all buildings on one main road. There are plenty of facilities, for example if you need to use a computer or find a book there are many libraries about. I mainly use the stopford building and the labs have all the up to date equipment in order to carry out experiments. I am doing biomedical science and it can be very challenging at times but it is also rewarding when you put in the work and achieve an end goal. The student union area is very up to date with an on site bar with has a good atmosphere. The uni organises plenty of career fairs during your time, and they give you information of when these are and who will be there.

Amazing campus with a lively city, not five stars due to accommodation. Majority is very far or from the center and felt like a boarding school dorm. Need to provide more affordable flats in the city to student at Manchester. Open days are very informative and you are made to feel very welcome. The university provides high quality teaching and you feel as if you are giving the best chance at achieving an excellent degree in your feild. There are many opitunitues for work experience and studying abroad. Providing ou with a range of options in your third year. They are willing to concider every applicant and interview. This shows that the university care much more than just what grades you produce. It's aboit the type of students you are and what else you can offer to the university. Making the life of a student there very good.
