The University of Leeds

The university courses are based on the concept of research led teaching, and this really comes into its own once you reach 3rd (and 4th year for masters courses) as you realise the lecturers really are experts in their field/s and they have such a passion for their subject. This is a massive positive, and is highly encouraging for myself, as it gives me confidence in my lecturers and makes the content more interesting when it is linked to real life, innovative research.

The university itself it so well equipped for all students through the step free access to the on campus support I think it can truly help anyone achieve another qualification in their education

Overall, the university is great. The campus is big but easy to navigate and conveniently located right near the city center. They've invested a lot in making the libraries as convenient to use as possible so finding study space is almost always doable (though sometimes they've over-complicated things with too much unnecessary technology, like the room booking system). The Edge gym is miles better than any of the other regular gyms in the area, especially once you figure out the best (quietest) times to go, and the student union has recently had a lot of money invested into it so there's plenty of space to work, hangout and eat, plus loads of other facilities.

The University of Leeds' Accounitng and Finance course is considered as one of the best in the UK. It has recently been ranked Number 1 by The Times and The Sunday Times for the 2018/2019 academic year. The academic staff a group of motivated and hardworking professionals. They are constantly aiming to tailor the course to ensure graduates are in possession of the skill needed to succeed in the work place.

The Student Union is amazing and offers a lot of support, the campus itself is friendly and always alive with people. The university is located close to te city centre and has lots of facilities to offer including a gym and a pub and club night. My course is challenging and exciting and there is always support offered from faculty members. The careers service is great and can help guide you along your chosen path.

Absolutely love Leeds ! Such a great city to be a student, has everything you need - shops restaurants bars clubs etc. Is so cheap compared with London and the campus is so amazing too, 10 mins from the city centre.

It had been less than 10 weeks into my course but I am already loving the environment. The seniors are err supportive. Lecturers are always encouraging to engage with them after lectures and during their academic support hours. The environment is friendly as ever. Gym and sport facilities are very complete and the accommodation I am staying in is nothing as what I had expected. The kitchen and my room is spacious and my flat mates are equally friendly. I would say that the course I am in is difficult but the help of my friends and lecturers it is more enjoyable.

The library's are a great space, however do reach capacity during peak times. The sports facilities are are fantastic. The union has recently been refurbed and has lots of good food outlets

The psychology building is nice but basic and could be improved by creating a study area and more seating. I feel that the staff in the school of psychology give too much reading to students and often give over 20 articles per lecture but don't state which are the most important. Having said this, the teaching staff are helpful and do explain the lecture content well.

The uni presents itself well because of the organised campus and availability of people to talk to.

The campus is nice and fairly well kept. The union offers a lot of stuff however could advertise a bit better. The mechanical engineering careers service is pretty good. The sports facilities at the edge and classes are great and so are the different societies.

Union is wonderful, staff care and general super nice atmosphere Campus is nice and depending on what course you do theres a mixture of old buildins and super new ones. Librarys are super good, Brotherton is best for the quiet book reading whereas Eddy B is great for those who love laptops. Avoid Laidlaw, you wont get a seat and its distrubingly quiet yet frantic

Amazing sports facilities, great opportunities within economic and math courses. Lots of support for job applications and intern/grad scheme applications.

I loved everything about the university of Leeds. Everything was a close together, the campus, the city centre, accommodation, which made everything so cheap and life so easy! I loved my course (neuroscience) it was really interesting and there was good variance in the way students were tested.

Great party life( surprise, surprise). Some accommodations are more sociable than others. I study maths and economics and there's a huge(!!) jump from Alevels, however we get 5 hours of seminar and tutorials every fortnite so if you struggle, there's help you can get if you need. Most of the lectures are recorded so you can also rewatch them if you don't understand the material. Oh and you get free off peak gym membership

University of Leeds have a lot of resources to offer its students. There are varied selection of societies, cv workshops in the career centre, mentor schemes for placements, events and many more. You get what you paid for basically. But it's also a very supportive University as it tries to cater for everyone.

Great university that focuses not only on academic but also professional development and enployability. Many different societies and new student initiatives are always appreciated and supported. Leeds is a great city as well - many places to go out, the city center is jus 10 min away from the university campus.

I love that it's very international. There's a wide range of courses and societies for everyone to enjoy. I like my course, Law, very much. Leeds has a great nightlife scene, and lots of residences to choose from both on campus and off of it. The refectory is a little on the expensive side but it is pretty good, especially the hot wok station where you can make your own hot wok and then it will be cooked for you.

Enthusiastic lecturers, who are actively involved in research in the topics they are teaching. Plenty of opportunities to gain extra experience and work placements. Student union is amazing, one of the best I've seen!
