Big and beautiful campus. Very modern and convenient sports centre. Lots of exciting activities and clubs and societies for students to take part in.
I've had an amazing time at Leeds university. Leeds itself is amazing, there is literally always something to do, and in terms of nightlife you are more than spoilt for choice. The university itself is huge and has a gym and a huge student union so facilities at the university are top-quality and readily accessible.
Particularly excellent parts of Leeds include the facilities on campus including sports facilities and the Union. They provide great spaces for university students to work and relieve stress. There is much that needs to be improve with regards to mental health and well-being in general with regards to the number or counsellors, safe spaces, trigger warnings etc
The campus, facilities, course, everything was top notch. To add to this the SU is the best in the country and the careers support is second to none
My university is not on here but I attend Leeds Trinity University. It is a well organised uni, with great students and staffs. At our university we receive full support off of our tutors or even the student help desk are able to aid. Whilst attending placement I have learnt different experiencess which will help me develop in what i want to do in my chosen career.
Teaching is amazing. Nightlife is terrific. I’ve had the best time studying at Leeds University and would recommend to anyone going into higher education.
The university was amazing with regards to the choice of modules I had. Your degree need only consist of 66% of modules in your chosen area, giving you the freedom to continue passions that you otherwise may not have got the chances to explore. However this wasn't clearly explained until second year so I feel I missed a big chance in first year. I loved the study abroad module. It was one of the main reasons I applied to study at Leeds and I can confirm it was the best year of my life. The study abroad team are great with keeping you informed of dates and what to expect even if their timescales are a bit haphazard and on the late side. The only issue I found really with my university was the lecturers in my final year. Being a top university it naturally attracts some of the leading scholars, however, I found that my lecturer for my specialist subject was more focused on his own work in the final year of teaching to pay much attention to the needs of his students and dissertation pupils. I felt that the support was definitely lacking in that department.
We have an excellent academic level. The facilities arw very good as well. We have the new laidlaw library but alsi the beatitiful botherton in its classical style. There’s also everything on campus, specially at the union. Not only there are more than 300 clubs and societies, but a lot of facilities are located there. Supermarket, stores, hairdresser, bara, cafes, clubs, theatres, opticians and much more.
The campus is in the city centre, so shops and supermarkets are easily accessible. My accommodation is central village which is in an ideal location as it means my lectures are very close and I can walk to clubs when going on a night out.
My course is very high quality, my lecturers seem passionate about the field and as such I receive well structured and delivered lectures.
The campus is great- everything is very close to each other, lecture theatres, libraries and food venues! The course (French) is well run and the professors are exceptionnal, especially for final year students.
Student union extremely friendly, there are lots of clubs and societies. There is an incredie careers Center and emails are sent every day with job opportunities based on your subject.
Generally a very good university experience - friendly staff, friendly students (heavy drinkers and hard partiers of course!), good support and enjoyable course (linguistics and phonetics)
I think Leeds is an amazing University with so much on offer for its students! I knew from the minute i visited Leeds on an open day that it was where I wanted to spend the next 3 years of my life studying. The Students Union is incredible, it's massive and has so many things on offer, including shops restaurants and cafes
What you see is what you get with Leeds. Great people, great academics, great nightlife - an all round fantastic city. The School of Politics and International studies is a great school with innovative research and ample opportunity to get involved.
Very good uni with amazing facilities. The staff and students are lovely. On Mondays there is a farmers market and I recommend the cakes from the cake man.
Fantastic Uni with a large modern campus and an excellent student experience. The city itself is very student-developed.
Great uni experience in all aspects - really nice campus, friendly people, good nightlife, great student union
Good range of joint honours courses, good quality of lecture record, good range of careers events. Feel like I am getting my money’s worth. Really like the goals of the university in terms of the future and sustainability.
Overall a great university for all types of people. Super facilities for studies and sports. Fantastic range of societies - something for everyone! Amazing location being so near the city centre but also perks of a campus uni.
Great union, lively nightlife, plentiful working opportunities. The university and city has everything you need to survive.
Love the student union, which offers so many different clubs and societies. I’m in my second year and there is such a nice sense of comradery between students. The uni is in a great place, and I love the nightlife around me.
Great campus with fantastic facilities, huge student union. Many events to get involved with and lots of societies to find your niche
Great campus, academically strong with great careers support. Lots of events relevant for different degrees, careers, great night life and amazing student union. Students are heard and their feedback is valued.
