Staffs are very helpful. The facilities are good enough for me as an engineering student to carry out my research project this year. The help and support that i received from the supersivor is excellent. However, i am a little bit disappointed as i am an international student and the summer experience is not eligible for me while i am very interested in finishing my research project. I am just a sponsored student hence i need the funding as the sponsorship will end soon. Regarding the course, i really hope that the modules could be more organised as i think it is very hard for me and my frienda to do rhe research project along with modules coursework.
Excellent facilities e.g. Laidlaw library and the Edge, although membership is too expensive. Food on campus is good but also expensive, Old bar and Terrace good food and atmosphere. Experience seemed very organised.
Good University, staff are passionate about the subjects that they teach. Plenty of resources to help you out and some are even open 24/7.
mostly been an incredible experience. had some problems with my course this year - I think the organisation has been poor in terms of balancing compulsory workloads. plus, they advertise a lot more support with gaining placements than they actually do provide. you have to do a lot of the chasing.
There are not enough words to describe how insanely awesome my experience here at Uni of Leeds has been. The campus might not be the most beautiful, but the facilities are very good. The library is huge with loads of seating (this is a big deal!) and the gym is really good.
Really inclusive university on a huge campus which helps mixing students from all backgrounds and degrees. Amazing libraries and general facilities. Union and societies really friendly.
The university is a great mix between a city uni and a campus uni, giving you the best of both. The drinks are fairly cheap but the nights out can be pricey and so far my course is good!
The atmosphere is a like other student areas. Campus university however close to the city and surrounding areas. People are friendly and you don't often feel lonely. As it's a decent university the courses are challenging and preoccupy most of your time. However if you're socially inclinede there is plenty of nightlife every day of the week.
I've had the best time at university, met some amazing people! The uni tries to facilitate you wherever they can.
My course is pretty good
Nice campus, everything is in walking distance and there's a real sense of community. The union is good but more expensive than i would like/have had expected.
Very pretty campus for the most part, good facilities and good support network when struggling. Also alot of library workshops to help people struggling.
really goof that we have a market on campus on a monday. mixes things up and it's nice to be able to purchase from local yorkshire retailers. there are some things that aren't perfect about uni but there's always going to be something
Everything is relatively close on campus so not much walking from lecture to lecture. Student union is great with many bars for socialising.
Lovely place to learn and make new friends, it’s such a beautiful campus too and the tutors and staff members are very helpful. Would recommend applying to anybody who is interested
- University has a lovely Campus - Facilities could be improved for design students - Printing isn't free
I think the university campus is pretty great overall - there a tonnes of different spaces, multiple libraries and lots of resources and computers! A downside is the lack of quiet spaces where you can eat and study. Also the Roger Stevens building is awful for people with spacial difficulties like myself. In terms of my course (English) the lecture content is great, but I would have loved more opportunity to speak with coursemates. Even in seminars I found it hard to get to know people. None of the friends I have made at uni are from English! As a shy person there are rarely activities that make you talk with each other. I have found that quite isolating.
Campus is great, very up to date with latest technology etc, need more quiet study spaces though, libraries don't hold enough. Students union is good, plenty of clubs/socs, a good nightlife and a wide range of relevant events, e.g. for black history month
Leeds uni has a great campus, where everywhere is in nice close walking distance but not too spread out. The campus has a great atmosphere with things always going on, such as crepe stands and burger stands outside the union. The libraries are great with so many books and computers and group rooms.
In my opinion Leeds university is the best in the UK. Why? Well the Guardian has already confirmed this.. but .. it is the only university in the UK to be fun and still a red brick decent uni. Except maybe Bristol, but the cost of living down there is ridiculous so.. case closed. However, if you are really looking to crack on with your work, not party and are weak willed this probably isn't the place for you. Some of the courses are also better than others. I have been told that the design courses are pretty poor and so is the nursing. Most of the money is poured into the maths and science departments. Consequently the research facilities in these areas are top notch and good if you want to do a PhD. Campus is very nice, Student halls are mega $$$$ - and some are too far away ( cough Clarence dock ). Students union is good and just been renovated . Loooads of fooood options and some other crap in there . Overall , great experience and if you manage to get a degree at the end , even better.
