The University of Leeds

My move in experience was fine but I thought that my accommodation was a bit rubbish. The events I went to were good for meeting new people. Make sure you register at the local hospital and go to fresher’s fair instead of laying hungover in bed all day!

I was worried about freshers, having to meet lots of new people and find new friends, but everyone is in the same boat and usually eveyone is really lovely. The nights out and prees are where i met the majority of new people. Embrace it and enjoy it, as you'll probably neever have to do something like it ever again.

So many activities and freebies. Great for getting acclimatised to a new city and many opportunities to meet new people. There's an activity for everyone!!!

Great freshers week. Lots of events and opportunities to meet new people, both in halls and through societies.

Move in experience was straightforward and well managed (Henry price halls). I found the freshers fairs extremely useful to get to know all the available societies. Information about freshers fair was well detailed.

Didn't really get up to much apart from see some friends so wasn't the best. Move in went bad due to our car breaking down too.

I didn’t have any real interaction with the university during freshers week as Leeds has such a big nightlife scene there was always something better be going to at clubs.

All sorts of introductory activities were made, meeting with heads of the school, parties and get to know eachother activities. Overall, freshers week was a good introduction to uni life

Was good all round cannot fault any areas of the whole experiance and will highly recommend this to anyone interested

Freshers was enjoyable for sure. We didn’t do many big nights out but instead went to the pub a lot and got to know each other. You have the whole year to do big nights out so we figured it was best to spend time to get to know each other
