Everyone was so friendly, and helped me with settling in. I was so nervous but Fresher’s week was the perfect way to break the ice, being so far away from home scared me but the environment was so warm and welcoming.

Move in experience was easy and marshals were very helpful, clear signs about were to go and instructions about your house, in terms of going out, there wasn’t really a lot on for all different people and societies mainly just veune with their one in one out policy which made queuing long

Park wood accommodation was perfect for freshers week, house parties were everywhere and semi encouraged by campus security. Meeting people was very easy. Only downside was that freshers nightlife events were pretty much concentrated at the student union so the queue took up to 2 hours to get in. Also, the events were all very similar in style. A useful tip would be to make sure you make the effort to socialise with the neighbouring houses almost immediately, this spurred the massive group of friends I had across uni for sure as you meet lots of people from different courses and then in turn they’re course mates.
