Badminton

Badminton club has been a large part of my experience throughout uni life, it’s helped me to feel part of something bigger than myself as well as allowing me to take on leadership roles (social sec and VP). It’s also kept me fit and allowed me as a fresher to meet older more experienced uni students and learn from them.

There is a good community spirit within the badminton club and are updated via the badminton Facebook page of events and any other news. There are plenty of rackets for players who do not own a racket and the shuttles are of good quality so you are able to play good games. The committee are very good with arranging events and making sure large numbers of people turn up as well as providing coaching for the players who wish to improve. The events that are put on are well thought through and are very enjoyable allowing the members to dress up and have fun with friends from the club or bring along friends who have never been to the club before
