Hockey (Women)

The GUWHC is an amazing club. It has 5 teams that play in the BUCS league and in Saturday leagues. It also has a growing development team as well as social members. They offer weekly trainings for teams and fitness sessions too.

It has made my experience at glasgow university so much more enjoyable as I had imagined as it is so amazing to feel so involved in a community as the hockey club is. I have met so many amazing people through playing sport at uni, and I have loved progressively moving up within the club from fresher to 4th year. Having so many sporting opportunities is extremely important at university as I believe that playing hockey this year has taken my mind off of the pressures of my uni workload, especially being in my 4th year. The club is so well run and the amount of work that goes on behind the scenes to make it run is amazing.
