University of Glasgow

Overall the university of Glasgow is a good uni for a wide range of courses. Its in a nice area of Glasgow. The uni itself is a beautiful campus with a lot of history to it. The School of Humanities which I am a part of is pretty decent though slightly underfunded compared to the schools of business and science. The uni offers some great facilities like the 11 floor library and the student run book shop. There are also the multiple unions and societies. The QM union is particularly good with cheap drinks and a great wee cafe. The uni has hundreds of societies as well which is a great way to meet people. But if the unions and societies aren't ur thing then that's not a problem either as there is and active nightlife in the surrounding area with plenty of bars, restaurants and clubs. The organisation of the uni is fairly good though the map system to find certain rooms and buildings can become confusing. But overall all I would recommend study at Glasgow university.

Fair and student- friendly. The university has been supporting and giving fresh university students assistance on essays writing, tips for studies, social life and balance on work and life.

Being an undergraduate student at the University of Glasgow, I am really enjoying the experience. The courses are engaging and interesting, the facilities are recent and many new buildings are being built or redeveloped at the moment. The University is growing and it’s filled with life and activities.

The university itself is very good but I personally don't feel like I am getting the 'full university experience' due to the fact that I am a student who commutes rather than lives in the halls-an incredibly expensive thing to do in Glasgow. The university is incredibly intense in its level of work and the hours required (particularly being a science student as I have mandatory labs to attend which last 3 hours), and juggling this as well as work is often challenging. There is a lot of extracurricular activities available which is a real selling point for attending my university, although I have not yet been able to join any due to the time I need to spend studying, working and commuting, as well as trying to maintain my own social life. The university is also, in my opinion, far too small for the high volume of students which attend here, meaning that it is often hard to find a seat in the library/the student unions. The careers service is always very helpful, if anything, being under valued by students, particularly in first/second year (I.e when no one wants to think about having to get a job after university ends). Despite all these drawbacks, it's a uni which works you hard so you can get the best degree possible, and I do quite like going there.

I am a third year classics student. The things that drew me to this university are what keep me there today; the commuted staff and lecturers who will do whatever they can to accommodate you, the fascinating subjects on offer and the beautiful yet modern setting in which to take in this information. The reason for 4 not 5 stars is that the buildings on Oakfield Avenue, where classics is, are somewhat outdated with little access to bathrooms and rooms that cannot maintain a constant comfortable heat.

The university of Glasgow has a lot going on from clubs, societies, events etc. It's pretty decent for 'being' a student. However, my course in particular could be structured and run a lot better.

Throughout my time at university, things have mainly been positive. The campus is historical and picturesque, there are 2 unions with a lot of events and they have a good finance/careers service for students. However, parts of my course are somewhat disorganised, with some lecturers not showing up, as well as the library being majorly jam packed at exam times meaning it's impossible to get a seat after 9am!

Glasgow uni, one of the best uni around the world and a really friendly university for abroad students. The atmosphere is incredibly nice. There is people from all over the world and you can exchange different points of views, ideas and enjoy other's culture(and also new tasty food). In addition, the facilities are great, overall the modern library. Honestly the library is amazing and the schedule is perfect, it's open until 2a.m.

Campus is a bit old, could do with some renovations of some building. Like the chemistry building. However, great library, very massive. Also great gym at an affordable price.

Having studied at Glasgow for a few years now I have gotten to grips with the careers service and the student support systems quite well. They offer great help with no judgement with any of the problems I bring to them. The way they handled it made me realise that I definitely wasn't alone in with my mental health struggles and that it was alright to ask for help. They really have been a great help to me.

Such a stunning university looks amazing but most students are very weird, vegans, hippies you name it.

Couldn't fault my time at the University, felt very well supported and the courses were a great variety.

The main building is beautiful, but campus is currently undergoing renovation which is an inconvenience. We have 2 unions, they're average at best. The careers service is excellent. The history department is very disorganised

Generally, I’ve had a good 4 years here. I studied languages which I enjoyed, but must say that languages courses here can be more focused on essay writing/literature rather than improving your competency in that language. I didn’t spend too much time in the two Unions, but enjoyed them nonetheless. I would recommend studying here for other aspects such as the city itself, there’s so much life and things to do, you would never be bored here and the people are really friendly.

I studied at a branch of the university of Glasgow down in Dumfries and the campus is beautiful, down around all the old sandstone buildings and picturesque fields. The staff are lovely and friendly. I had such a good experience at this uni I'm now employed here as well. :)

Amazing buildings and all staff are really friendly. I studied meduc primary education which could have consisted of more placement and relevant information.

Love the campus, it's a great environment and a really nice-looking, traditional place. The buildings are spaced nicely and there's a sense of togetherness.

The University of Glasgow has a beautiful campus, with most people likening it to Hogwarts. There are two university unions which is great, especially in Fresher's week as there are different options! I thoroughly enjoyed studying music here, and found the support in place for students was very good. The head of music supported me through a struggle with anxiety, and the drop in counselling service proved to be very helpful. I enjoyed my lectures, and found the staff very easy to get on with, as they treat the students as their peers. I am very proud to say I studied here, and hope others had as good an experience as I did.

The university itself is great, and I'm real gutted I never made the most of my opportunity to study here. I started a maths degree a few years ago and got off to a great start, but for different reasons, I soon started slacking and spend the rest of my years here very passively. This year I will graduate, but I never really got the "uni experience" because of my laziness!

The campus is in an excellent location surrounded by many cafes, restaurant and bars. There are 4 student unions which allows a great variety of events and opportunities.

Great university in general. Plenty of facilities for everybody, good accessibility, and a lot of support. The main building is incredibly beautiful and lovely to wander around on a sunny day. My one complaint is that quite a few of the lecture halls feel pretty outdated and could do with some more up to date technology and comfier seats.

Campus is fab, everything within 15mins walking. My course was Physics, well structured and the lecturers were mostly good.
