Not very good, LCR is not very lively, neither town, with good flatmates it's fun but not the best Freshers week.

Had to still attend lectures, often had 9am starts which ruined the experience. Expensive events for what we got. Good opportunity to socialise though.

Nice welcome pack when I moved into the room, however compulsory meeting about the halls wasnt that fun. Could have been a way to get to know people in your block some sort of party or something? As a nevrous student very difficult to make friends even with flatmates initially. The timing of the freshers fair coincided with teacher so I was unable to attend which was upsetting as this was what I was really looking forward to. The events I went to were really good such as welcome ball and foam party but didn’t go to all of hem as the freshers wrist band is so expensive so couldn’t really afford too. Plus not sure who to go with as a shy person. I would say try and interact with your flat asap and when they do stuff go with them don’t stay in your room then you can make friends even if tiny with them but from going to events, at least you won’t be on your own. Go to as much in freshers as possible I didn’t and I regret it, a good way to make friends even if it’s just for the night!!!!

It wasn’t that bad in all honesty, lots of events going on on campus and in the LCR specifically which was good. On the other hand, some of the events were poorly attended so that kinda sucked.
