UCL is a very well respected university and especially do to its location in the heart of London, it allows you for more opportunties getting internships and later a job, by being able to attend insight days and information sessions at firms’ offices. The courses themselves are demanding and challenging, so do keep that in mind. Most of the lectures are recorded and posted online which helps when it comes to revising or understand the materials better. Depending on your subjects, but in my course in particular, end if year exams usually count 100% which has its positives and negatives, it’s up to the person to evaluate their own strengths. Overall I think UCL gave me a good foundation and now that I am soon starting in my full time, I feel more prepared as I learnt many real life applications concerning my subjects, not just theory, that automatically applies in my job.

Parts of the campus are lovely and the location is great! Some lecture halls are old and impractical and the administration/organisation should be improved.

UCL has great research facilities and teams that perform top research, but when it comes to the teaching quality they can still work on it. It is disappointing that audio recordings are not offered for all the lectures. Their organisation is a bit poor, because the students are not always informed on the location of their lecture. There are many learning facilities available to students ( library, computers, laptops to borrow, study rooms etc), but sometimes a large number of students is crowded in small teaching rooms.

I have absolutely loved my experience at UCL so far, the course (chemistry) is taught mostly well (the downside is some of the tutors are a little usesless) and the union bars are great fun to go to. The people I’ve met have been amazing, I wouldn’t change a lot at all!

In general, ucl is a good university in terms of contact hours as I’ve heard worse from other unis. There are many clubs and societies for us to join as well

Walking through the impressive and imposing campus is always a reminder of the commitment to excellence UCL maintains. With a super location to boot and amazing facilities for theatre, it has fostered my interests more than anywhere else could.

I agree that UCL is one of the best uni of the world. The campus is just next to the British Museum, and it is not too far from Tottenham court road and Oxford Street. There are lots to see and to enjoy : ) The facilities are very good, all staff ready to hear us and to help us. I am making nice and unforgettable memories here.

Met great people and I love the location of the uni but not enough lecture halls that hosts over 250 students (Ive had lectures at other nearby universities or even hotel conference halls instead, which is not the most ideal of places). I do maths but I can’t see where my £9250 per year tuition fees go because we literally require no equipment and not all lecturers are great (though most are), or they haven’t even upgraded or improved or facilities - our department is the same buildig as student union and we have old classrooms/lecturer halls.

Campus is very central which is both good and bad. We are close to most of the attractions in London, yet don't really get away from the ambulances and bustle of central London. The campus is, however, a haven from the bustle. University has good facilities (e.g. lecturecast, microphones etc) but does not always use them. In order to do most field sports, we have to go to Watford, where the official UCL training ground is, which is a bit of a trek, and not ideal. the union does provide buses but there is often not enough space or they run late, or various other problems. On the other hand, there is a gym on campus.

UCL is smack bang in central London so you literally have everything on your door step. You’re in one of the best cities in the world and surrounded by some of the smartest people in the country plus it’s just a hub for pretty much every career. You can get in touch with many a high flyer as they probably also live in London so you have easier access to make contacts. However this does come at a price and that is the damn expense of it all and UCL isn’t fab at being good for poorer students. London is expensive. Halls are expensive. And you have to kind of grit your teeth and drag yourself through if you don’t come from a well off background.

Facilities are good, however lecture theatres are often oversubscribed.. sometimes people have had to sit on the floor. Although the buildings are good, it's disappointing that there is little organisation in terms of numbers. Students Union is good and very helpful members of staff and students

Amazing libraries and learning facilities. Student satisfaction rates are low, especially in architecture.

Amazing and prestigious university but struggling with overcrowding and large class sizes at masters level

Great place to study but problems with heating system at least at school of pahrmacy. Some toilets loock old and cleaning could be improoved. Besides that a great place to study and learn.

Lecturers are very enthusiastic and mostly deliver subject content well. All facilities within campus are excellent and overall a very good place to study.

Great staff, good careers opportunities and good facilities. More organisation for room space needed at times and more toilets needed in IOE.

The university is awesome and gives students the full opportunities to explore their full potential and realise their opportunities in the future

The main campus is nice and gives students a feel of campus life. The facilities such as computers in most libraries are up-to-date and gives student easy access to internet. Perhaps sports facilities could be made more accessible to more students.

Student experience is great, university big wigs , not so much. Staff and lecturers generally lovely and friendly, but the actual people in charge need to put a priority on education over making money off of us

UCL has been an interesting journey. We do miss the advantages of being in one campus because we are quite scattered but we have a good atmosphere in the departments with one another. The teaching is great quality and I love the capacity fire independant research here.

UCL's location is fantastic, and the resources and libraries are great, and the diversity of thought and of people you'll meet is unmatched. However, there are not enough study spaces on campus at all, and the University is incredibly disorganised.

In terms of clubs and societies, there are many available in a wide range of different interests. Facilities are generally good although some are very old and need refurbishing. Many libraries available all over campus so there will always be space. Gym is very close to campus but also very small and can get very busy at times.

Course is fantastic, there is so much to do as you’re with a lot of other students, and being in London is crazy. It’s expensive, they’ve overexpanded recently so your teaching time isn’t great and you’re left on your own. Accomodation locations are insane, and great chance to get uses to city living if that’s where you’d like to work!

I personally dont like city campus that much, but there are pros and cons. Staying in the central of the city allow you to travel anywhere just by walking, Oxford street is just 15 minutes away, Soho and Covent Garden with tons of food are nearby too. But, for me I'm based in School of Pharmacy, a building isolated from the main campus. Sadly, I dont have much interactions with the main campus, and our library is small, not opening for long hours like all the main libraries do, only have one large lecture theatre. We dont have much food choices in the canteen but generally still good, and Brunswick is just 5 minutes away. So conclusion, facilities are not that satisfied in my building and the isolation from main campus make me feel even worse as I would prefer a campus life.
