The University of Chichester

As it’s such a small uni, all the staff are incredibly close with students and know and support each other so well.

The facilities are brilliant and very suitable for students, such as the group working booths and LRC, particularly at Bognor campus. My experience as a student with a disability has been excellent. The support has been very good including study skills, discussions about my disability and mental health. The lecturers who have taught me so far have been very supportive, from making intersession tasks clear to being understanding of issues outside of university. The course has been well taught so far, with Valuing Individual Differences being my favourite topic so far, particularly due to debating. Through debating, I am getting to know my group better and it has created moments of laughter and sociability.

Very small split site. Facilities ok. Course choice quite small. SU isn't great. Plenty of career services.

Facilities are great e.g. gym and library, very homely and comfortable for halls of residence users and not to worry about cooking as there is a catering service for 1st years. Organised course and tutors always available to help.

Great uni, supportive staff and information that will help get you a relevant job, not just a qualification

Really small but friendly University. Everything is in walking distance. Great support from lectures and lovely surroundings. Sports and Musical theratres courses are massive at this uni. Would recommend.

I had the best time here! I felt comfortable coming to study and using the resources provided. But what stood out for me is when I was ill and was unable to give in my assignments/do exams - I was able to easily liaise with the necessary people to get extensions on my work stress free. It was so comforting knowing I had the support to finish my course and I genuinely had such a lovely experience here at Chichester. I would happily do another course or even my Masters here!

Nice small campus with good support from lecturers. The course is well organised and includes interesting modules which are taught in ways that account for all ways of learning.

There are two campuses as part of the uni. The Chichester one is a lot more funded, equipped and thought about. The nights out at zee bar are pretty good and there are a lot more residential options as well as a huge library. Bognor is a lot smaller making it a little less terrifying and the staff get to know you especially in the canteen. Once you join the uni you will receive a personalised email address. This is great for communicating with staff and peers. You also receive updates on this of events and opportunities run by the uni. Although this can be annoying it is useful information as it shows what is on offer for you.

Couldn't ask for more. Easy to find places, lots of green space and the astro is free to play on whenever

Really supportive network of staff both on my course and throughout the campus with an inclusive and enjoyable atmosphere throughout. Fantastic library services and very easy to use and navigate as well as the option for assistance from staff all the time.

Small campus but lovely welcoming group of people. The halls are on campus which proves easy access and all the buildings are not far away. There is a good choice of food at the canteen.

The university of Chichester has made me feel welcome and always helped me with any issues or concerns I’ve had. They take mental health and/or physical disability very seriously which helps for a more enjoyable and smooth ride throughout the 3+ years you’re there. The facilities and course material are good. Tutors help you throughout the journey and I’m glad I chose to study here.

Chichester is what you make it, we don’t have much but we all know how to have a good time with what we have

The UOC consists of two campuses. I am currently placed on the smaller campus (Bognor) I love the intimacy of the campus due to its size. However when I attend the bigger campus I get very confused and lost due to not knowing the area!

Staff and resources are wonderful and the campus feels very safe and homely. Cannot reccomend every aspect of chichester enough after a fantastic first year!

The facilities on campus are brilliant. Been there a year now and everything is accessible and easy to find. The course is exciting and you always learn something new.

The university campus is small, however there is plenty of space to study. The Musial theatre course is disorganised, biased and highly unjust with not enough performance opportunities

Amazing university, great resources and incredible city to live and work from. I study Commercial music and have had so much help from all my colleagues and teachers so far. I look forward to what the remaining year has to offer.

Great university with a real community setting. Fantastic sports teams with a small campus where you will meet many people. The student union bar is small but will become a second home.

Chichester is a good uni for sports degree and has a lot of sporting facilities, however, there is limited night life and the student union is small. I would recommend for people who enjoy sports, clubs and limited social life.

I love the campus and the opportunities I have here as well as the people I have met. Also the location is great because it’s close to major places like London and Brighton but is much calmer

I enjoyed my course and the tutors who taught on it. The facilities are great, offering computers and library access, even out of hours.
