Great uni. Quite a small campus and size but you get great support from the lecturers. Lots of great facilities such as the library, gym and student union. SU Fridays are a bit cheesy but dead cheap. Could be better facilities in the library for when you bring your own food e.g fridges or kettles

There are Starbucks and a Costa on the main campus which is amazing. The library is really modern and has everything you could need and the the timetables are easy to follow and give you lots of free time

Great uni only problem is one campus requires a 30 minute bus ride, which to be fair the uni provide a free bus service but attending a 9 am lecture requires being on campus for 8:15 to get to the bus

Great campus, but a lot of independent study for my particular course which can be a little bit overwhelming when overcoming the jump between sixth form and uni.

The university provides a variety of services to aid students as well as many opportunities for students to provide feedback and help the university make improvements. The staff members are dedicated and provide many opportunities for extra help and offer meetings to go over work. The university ensures all students are aware of the extra help services available to them such as counselling to ensure all students achieve their best experience. Canteen meals provide a variety of foods, and always provide healthy options for students and a variety of drinks.

I'm on Queens Park Campus and it's really nice. The building has a lot of history about it. It's in a nice area. I know a lot of people have concerns about parking there but other than that I have no issues. The campus I'm at has a library, the only wish I had is that more books could be available online so I can access them more easily. I really enjoy my combined course but I just wish there were less 9am's, especially when we have socials the night before.

The university of Chester has many campuses which accommodate many different subjects from nursing, to English and arts, to biological sciences like my course animal behaviour, to photography and even engineering. The facilities are well kept with cleaners in every night and during the day and they have a large number of coffee shops, cafes including a burger bar, campus student unions shops for university of Chester merchandise and many more. My course (animal behaviour) is run by many different lecturers and operates in a number of large and small lecture theatres, computer rooms and laboratories for the maximum level experience. I'm in my second year which included the option of work experience over six weeks in a placement of your choosing or to go on one of the experiential trips (south Africa, Philippines, Egypt or Madagascar) for two weeks, working with companies to collect vital data for many animal species. This is a great opportunity and I'm looking forward to travelling to the Philippines which only cost £1200 in total. The university offers a great careers service in which you can visit at any time to get advice and help on where your University journey is going to take you after the three years, help adapting your CV and even applying for future jobs. The only downfall I find to Chester university is the price of student accommodation and the living expenses which seam slightly higher then some other universities due to the area. It is however still cheaper then living and studying in a London university. In conclusion I would 100% reccomend Chester university and find it a great place to spend three years studying away from home.

Chester is a great university. Because it is a smaller uni then most it has a very homely feel, meaning that you are known by your name and not your number and you are treated in the same way

Welcoming vibe, a small campus engaging a better working environment, with smaller class numbers. Helps to fit schedules around you and how you work. Equipped all learning resources online so it is accessible 24/7. Facilities open late enabling you to work when you can or want to. My course is fun engages both pratical and theoretical sides to each modules in photography and advertising. Key artists work on sight to make sure we are being taught nothing but the best

I am currently doing my first year at Chester uni and it's easy to say I'm loving it. The campus is easy to get to and once on-campus each building isn't another task to find. My course, criminology, is extremely interesting and I'm taught well throughout all my modules. The Chester Student Union is great when you need some time away from the work load and it's also a great way to meet new people that go uni along side you.

The campus has a whole is not well signposted but is well laid out, perfect size for the amount of students though . Could do with there being a better student union bar. The mental health support there was fab and the course I studied in psychology was great, amazing staff.

Parkgate campus is 10 minuet walk to town, slightly needs updating but slowly improvements are being made. Many cafes and food facilities around to choose from. Teachers and lovely and have a good wellbeing and advice department

Chester uni is a great university if you like a city, but want some home comforts. The staff are friendly, the induction teams are great, social life is busy, and the univeristy has great degrees and general wellbeing facilities.

Generally a good uni, most buildings and accommodation are on campus so everything is easy to find. Lectures can be boring but most lecturers are really nice and very helpful.

Campus is so close to town and is surrounded by student accommodation so you get the real uni experience, sports facilities are amazing, library is always full as everyone loves it there. The student union is great has enough seating and a little shop. The SU bar is the place to be, the cocktails are unique and cheap too

The tutors are amazing, they teach really well and rarely ever read directly from the PowerPoints. The support system is amazing and they are always willing to help wether that's in person or through email. They do trips for FREE when they are compulsory unlike my college. Technology is not a high point but it isn't terrible. The accommodation is below satisfactory but the actually university buildings are nicely designed, especially Churchill on queens Park campus. Needs more parking. More free facilities including all books needed for the course.

My uni experience has been amazing so far and although it wasn't my first choice I'm glad I ended up at Chester university! My only problem is how far away from home I am and how expensive it is to travel home but that's nothing to do with the university itself.
