Bristol uni welcomes every student and I simply get so much help from career service office. I would thank those who offer help and advice to international students as this would definitely take more time and effort.

I do mathematics at Bristol and have to say that the available resources are very good. All of the lectures are recorded and available online shortly after which means if you are ill and need to catch up you can or if you don’t fully understand a topic then you can go back and rewatch lectures to refresh your memory.

The careers service is great, they organise events with potential employees, have intensive skills days and do one-to-one cv/application reviews. There are a whole host of societies to get involved in. Also, the larger societies have sports teams who play sports on a Sunday on a friendly level. One thing that the buildings lack is microwave and a kettle in university buildings in case the students want to heat their food up or make a quick coffee before a lecture. The library opening times change during exam periods which is quite useful. However, there may be a lack of study space because if you don’t go to the main libraries before 9am you’re not going to find a seat until at least post lunch time.

Bristol uni boasts with an amazing location and city. Its a shame that amidst that the multicultural backgrounds its set against most of its students are privileged upper middle class white folks that try too hard to not be posh and fail miserably. Lecturers never forget to treat you like one either

Bristol is a great city with lots to do so you are never bored. I find the level of teaching high and the university has a good reputation. My only criticism is the lack of community created by the uni, I think due to the absence of the SU being far away.

The student campus is beautiful, situated near the heart of the city. But, the course is pretty dire. I do history (BA) and have found the organisation terrible (sometimes receiving marks far later than proposed), but also a considerable lack of contact hours. Most of the work you do comes from your own. This is to be expected at uni, but I find it somewhat questionable that we are spending £9,000 a year for 6 contact hours a week. The careers service is useful.

The university is okay. there are very few contact hours, tutors don’t know students on a personal level almost at all. students can pass with very little effort, and the course isn’t very demanding at all. the vast majority of students are wealthy and entitled and put in no work to group projects, expecting others to do their work for them

University is good, well rounded students and a good experience. Facilities are overall good and the university teachers care a lot about the students.

I'm in my 3 rd year and I've had a very happy time at Bristol. I love the city so much, I'm currently living in Clifton, and I've got a great group of friends. I study history which I love, the teachers are very helpful and interesting. I use the library most days and im a member of the gym. The facilities and library I think are great. However I am not involved in any societies so not sure how good they are. There could be a little more communication between students and proffessors, because I only have about 6 hours of uni a week. Maybe a more hands on approach would create a better community feel within the university.

Bristol University has a wonderful campus that is intergrated into the city and consists of small, traditional houses for seminar locations as well as huge castle-like buildings. The sociology department has great staff from a wide variety of academic backgrounds and the course gives you the freedom to explore the areas you're interested in.

Good campus with nice staff. Many libraries and the books are plenty. The student union is a bit too far, it should be somewhere around Senate House or Tyndall Avenue. Love Source Cafe but their hot food and soup sell out too early in the day at around noon.

Pairing in accomodation was terrible. Terrible uni experience. Seriously considering dropping out to go to another uni.

Student union could be made better use of, it's a good building it just seems that not many events take place there. Some improvements could be made to university accomodation, there are large differences between accommodation and the price often doesn't reflect this.

Great uni, most of the staff are great with good teaching styles for both passing exams and life skills. Would recommend Bristol to anyone thinking of going to uni. Peng buildings too

Everything is great, my course is well organised, well run. The career services are helpful and SU has the most societies of any other uni.

The University has very good facilities for sports and the libraries are very well stocked. The law faculty is very well organised and provides many tutorial opportunities similar to many other instutitons across the country, which leads to plenty of contact time with professors and thus bolsters learning significantly. The Pastoral care and adminstration is notoriously poor especially in the halls of residence which I live in but the facilities in my accommadation are sound.

Great university. I like the staff that are on my course and tutors. I believe that they have helped me and give me a lot of support.

Bristol university is an excellent place to contribute your education. The city itself is wonderful to live in, feeling very warm and homely. It is safe and friendly, which helps in the initial stages of moving to university when one may feel home sick. The university itself is very accomplished, and the staff are very knowledgable and approachable.

Great city with a good vibe. Excellent nightlife and tons of vintage shops to fuel your newfound wardrobe that will inevitably occur when you come here. All university buildings in the same area which makes it more accessible. Student union regularly organises cheap events which is always nice when you're on a budget. Unfortunately the area does have lots of hills but at least you'll get the well known "Bristol bum".

Very solid law department, challenging material and workload but helpful tutors. The city is very enjoyable to live in for many reasons: diverse arts and culture scene, eclectic nightlife, and small size make it rather convenient to get a lot done without wasting excessive time and money on getting around.
