The university is lacking in almost every aspect. The halls of residence are overpriced and very basic and the help offered to students who are struggling is non existent. Any difficult situations are dealt with appallingly.

The halls of residences are all very overpriced and basic, the level of help given to students outside of lectures is appalling and the way they deal with difficult situations makes many students regret choosing the university. Although the city itself is almost perfect, the university is lacking in pretty much everything.

It has an amazing reputation and that’s about the only good thing. Absolutely no help for mental health or struggling students, do not care in the slightest about any students wellbeing and the only thing that they are concerned about is the grades you achieve. I’m baffled at the way the university treats students and since coming to uni have had no support and only been made to feel belittled and un-intelligent by staff (one time it was so awful I reported it and of course nothing came of it).

Arrived in first year being told by the uni that they couldn't find me a room in halls and that I need to find somewhere to live in a new city by myself. Made no effort to include me or my flatmates in any of the university events or anything. Physics course is good I enjoy it, everything is okay, but socially the university has put me in a position where I feel completely excluded from the city and uni itself. I think it's a good uni and I'm a special case, but still it was allowed to happen.
