Overall Birmingham is a famtastic university. It has one of the countries most beautiful campus and has a booming city life only a short ten minute train journey away. From sport to academics Birmingham competes at the highest level. Everyone here, students, coaches lectures etc are all very friendly and supportive. The most important thing at this uni is to remember if you don't ask you dont get. It has a wide range of opportunities, advice and support services but it does require individual effort to find out about them.

The campus at the university of Birmingham is beautiful, the main area has stunning red bricks and so much grass and nature! The new gym that has just been built has good facilities however I believe might be a little small for the size of the university. It often feels overwhelmingly busy and I know that not everyone was able to get a membership because it reached max capacity My experience at UoB has been overall positive and I especially love the ability to be able to do a year abroad!

The campus is a beautiful green campus with a brand new library and an amazing clock tower (Good Old Joe). Being a red brick campus it brings out the classic side of Birmingham. The SU is a serious aspect of the university. They take opinions seriously and try their best to fight for student rights (except graduate ball ticket, it'll always crash). They have brand new sport pitches (rugby, 4g and hockey), new library and a few more new building on campus to keep up with quality. Overall, great university to look at and to enjoy the student experience. Regarding course, I studied Economics and the course is recognised widely however, relative to other courses the use of technology isn't transparent. I think they could improve the course specifically however, certain lecturers will always make it stand out! (Also, now have a 50m pool and new gym)

The university of Birmingham campus is currently under construction for a ‘greener’ campus. But prior to this the campus is stunning and is renown for its clocktower called Old Joe. The facilities are exceptional with a new sports gym, touchscreen computers and a library with an almost infinite amount of literature.

Good city life, loads to do off campus. Nice open campus. Facilities could be slightly more modern but on a whole very good. Food shops on campus not great and expensive.

UoB is definitely beautiful, though in places ruined by unsightly buildings like Muirhead Tower. The money that is being put into the Green Heart seems slightly excessive, though the parts that have been made so far do look good. The money could perhaps have been put to better use. Depending on the department, the university can be slightly unorganised in regards to deadlines, timetables, reading lists etc. The sports facilities are great but not all of the rooms in the Guild work very well for the societies. Some of the lecture theatres aren’t the best in regards to exiting or heating which led to some people fainting at the end of lectures at the beginning of the year.

Beautiful campus but green heart building is annoying. Good course but sometimes lack advise and guidance in regards to coursework.

The campus is nicely located near the city centre but slightly away in its own area too. The facilities provided are good and there is a wide range of them available to all students extensively across the university.

The university has a lot of great things such as a strong student union, large ranges of societies and sports and an inclusive focus. They also have great year abroad schemes and help to find students jobs, as well as employing hundreds of students each year. However there are issues with a few buildings such as the library not being large enough and also the UoB counselling service are extremely lacking and have a month long waiting list.

The campus is one of the prettiest across England. I'm pleased with my course organisation and with most of the teaching stuff. We've got a new modern library and a sports and fitness centre but unfortunately there are still not enough study spaces in the exams period and i find the gym quite expensive. The students union is great.

The campus at university is honestly amazing. I stayed in the Vale in first year and it was great because all the accommodations are so close together so it’s so easy to make new friends. The facilities at UoB are great, there’s everything you could possibly think of whether you’re into sport, dance, music etc. There’s something for everyone. He sports centre is huge and holds regular cheap fitness classes in addition to holding a massive gym and a very large swimming pool. My course is very challenging but very rewarding at the same time. The feedback from lectures is thorough and they are always on hand if you need to ask any questions. The course is, on the whole, quite organised but sometimes a little unorganised. Careers service is exceptional. Yeahh go above and beyond for the students and give regular lectures to guide the students with career options from year 1 to year 3 and also continue to provide guidance after students graduate which I find incredible.

Beautiful campus, with student accommodation situated very close by. I’ve lived at tennis courts for the past semester and absolutely loved it. It is very social and you’ll often find the walk to campus is very busy, filled with heaps of students heading to class. Once the renovations are done of old joe and the green heart I believe it will be even better. The gym is unbelievable.

I would always recommend for people to attend Birmingham due to its central location and beautiful campus. Course experiences may vary, but the city is wonderful and the student population thriving! Support staff have been wonderful during my time here... and did I mention the new library and gym?!

beautiful campus, really enjoy my course. however there is a massive gender pay gap, the vice chancellor gets paid way too much and they spent 21,000 on a pretty banner - that's 3 people's degrees.

Big campus and large brand new library. Good faciliities, lots of societies to join. Guild online has lots of job opportunities and experiences.lots of advice on careers and fairs where companies attend. In a good location close to amenities. Easy access to Birmingham town. Brand new gym and swimming pool to ensure we are fit and healthy and is a good stress relief. Good books selection but not enough quantities of the same book. Not enough food places around university so have to go into selly oak to find somewhere eat. Lectures are put online on panopto to aid with further stud. However not all lecturers put them up. Good Russel group university on league table. My course is not very organised in paperwork.

The teaching is so good, the campus is really lovely, and I’ve really enjoyed my time there. However, the uni does need to prioritise where it’s money goes (ie. to teachers and mental health services rather than the VC and excessive advertisement for the new ‘Green Heart’).

My time at Birmingham University has been fabulous - I’ve felt supported from day 1 and the teaching has nearly always been outstanding. As a Modern Languages student, my only downside would have been the lack of organisation going into Year Abrod - but whilst there, it was great. There is nearly everything you need on campus, lots of coffee shops, a bar, and the student union club ‘fab’ really is good! The uni is in the process of building the Green Heart which im sure will be beautiful, but the campus is stunning and makes it all worth while! All in all, I would definitely recommend studying here

Decent but too much words on slides and pointless information in lectures. Poor organisation and some lecturers are crap

The uni campus is great and everyone ive met so far has been brilliant. Majority of the lectures I take are of some value, however, some of the course content and structure could be improved. The local student area is full of crime.

The campus is pretty good but some of the buildings could do with an update. My course (geography) is good in general but there are some annoying compulsory modules that I don't enjoy, as well as some stupid pieces of group work.

Beautiful campus and atmosphere with a strong student union and loads of events happening. Careers services and staff are very helpful towards both home and international students. Loving the new sports centre and library.

The University of Birmingham is a red brick uni, it has beautiful buildings and grounds. Campus is spread over a large area with lots of green spaces. There is a new sport and fitness centre which has a lot of facilities and where most of the sports societies meet/train.

Campus is great, course is good but lacks organisation, union is okay, careers I haven't used.

The university offers a range of opportunities to be involved in student life and aims to fully integrate students through the guild of students. The facilities are in the process of being upgraded and so right now, they aren't great, but they have the potential to compete with universities across the world. Overall, the student life is good and the experience is am enjoyable one.
