The university is great however the department is not very organised. lecturers are useful and resourseful but the classics department is very underfunded!

Lovely looking university but an overpaid chancellor and underpaid staff whilst many services are underfunded takes the biscuit.

So far so good. University has its own train station making it convenient to commute. Plenty of society's so there's something for everyone. However not much diversity in some courses so may feel like you're the odd one out

As part of the university the online section is very good, detail but the videos on the e-lectures is a bit boring. But all the guys at the uni in my course are great fun, and easy to get on with

The university has a good reputation and for the most part it lives up to this. It provides good opportunities both in terms of studying and extra curricular activities. The developments that are currently underway I think will make it a great place to study, with better facilities and more space to work. Currently however some of the building are very old, the library is short on study space and the gym is overcrowded most of the time.

The campus is currently undergoing refurbishment due to end in 2021 and acts as a way of reinvesting our student loan in order to improve the experience that we receive which I am excited about. The careers service is exceptional and put on a range of events and workshops to ensure that employability skills are good.

The university has a good Campus that is friendly and lots of greenery. It is nice and very big. The lecturers are very friendly and the tutors are good. The food is not too expensive which is good. Everyone has fun and enjoys themselves , the societies are good. However it can be improved , by making it more welcoming for home students.

Overall the uni is okay but mostly the admin and party life lets it down. The admin team are always late at least for psychology and most the time we get work back late, exam timetables etc late. Also as it is in Selly oak, which is pretty high for crime, the nightlife is not as good as other unis

The university is very good in terms of buildings and people but is terrible in the organisation. There are so many things that can be fixed just by a little bit of organising!

My university experience has been varied, and I have enjoyed many parts of University life. My course has been interesting and challenging enough for the most part, and the facilities have been fantastic. The careers service and academic writing services in particular have been outstanding, with lots of support available for students.

Never had much interaction with student union, course was very difficult with little help available. Campus was beautiful but lacked library space.

Good facilities. City has a good atmosphere. I study psychology and it is not worth £9250 a year. I get 5 hours of lectures a week and 2 hours of practicals, and minimal feedback on my coursework. My accommodation is off campus because they don't have enough on campus accommodation, and it is in English of the worst places to live as is hard to get to know people.

University was great, excellent experience, Campus was amazing had everything you wanted right on your doorstep, looking forward to graduation as I know the uni does everything they can to make it a day to remember

The organisation of my course (pschology) was not very impressive and my dissertation tutor was particularly awful! The feedback I got for my work was minimal (with 90% of my assignments receiving no feedback at all) and on request of feedback I’d been told I couldn’t have any as too many people had asked for it and it couldn’t be done for everyone! I have loved my university experience and the opportunity to learn and improve my skills at the University of Birmingham, however the quality of teaching that I had I was extremely upset with as I am paying so much!

Depending on what subject you do, the university has different levels of opportunity. For English it lacks hours and overall tasks for you. However the tutors are excellent in their teaching. But need more to do.

Course modules are targeted to getting a job which is good. However poor organisation and the lectures are rarely interesting. A lot of opportunity for feedback but some things are left to late the correct.

The inivetsity seems pretty decent however the lectures could be better, some I feel as if the professors simply just read out from the lecture handouts.

Attractive Campus Not enough study spaces, the new library is focussed on an open plan feel which means there are not enough seats and you can walk around for an hour trying to find space I do a psychology degree. The course content is interesting however there is no communication between modules. You are taught things multiple times. Deadlines all fall at very similar times making it very difficult to balance your time. Also coursework feedback comes back far after they say it will

In terms of City, Birmingham is incredible. There is so much to see and do, and is perfect for student. Transport is great and so is the nightlife. There is plenty of shopping, bars and restaurants to try. The University itself has its flaws however. The WiFi on campus is often poor & recently redevelopments to the Uni are incredibly disruptive to lectures and seminars. The teaching and support is however good, it’s just the practical sides that let the university down.
