Heyy there! I've decided to leave a review for Solent University since there is so much positive to say about that school! I'm an international student and I've just finished my first year of studying Marketing with Advertising at Solent. What makes Solent so special? 1. Brand-new University Buildings- you will fall in love with the main building called 'The Spark', where the most characteristic point of Solent (the huge red pod) is located. In addition, all the Solent buildings are well-equipped with all essential stuff for particular courses (e.g. Sport complex with over 40 pieces of cardio equipment, fitness studios, sport halls, training gym, physiotherapeutic room and much more). 2. Learning Facilities- lecturers of Solent University are preparing you for real-life experiences. What I mean by that?- You are able to learn more by practise and less 'read and swot'. 3. Helpful people- the last important feature about Solent University is that everybody wants the best for you. You can feel very valuable, you can ask about everything and expect the handy answer. Moreover, Solent University support and help with finding a new job or starting a new business (there is a possibility to get from 2 to 10 thousands pounds for starting enforsing your business idea)!

Could be more inclusive. Not great for disabled students. Felt very left behind at times with accommodations and keeping up with peers

The facilities at Solent are incredible. The teaching staff are amazing. My course covers a huge range of the industry and there are many offers available for experience

Variety of guest speakers from industry which gives us a chance to see what working after uni will involve. Makeup and hair design course offers a variety of skill building opportunity but can be unorganised at times due to communication

Second year going amazing! Like a family, uni create a community environment and help support to reach full potential

Decent facilities and lectures, lecturers genuinely try to make sure you’re wchoeving your full potential! Campus is in the best location with accommodation and houses, 5-15 minute walks away with all the clubs, eateries and shops surrounding campus.

There's a lot of support on your course, finance and anything your struggling with. You are able to go to your tutor if there's any issue and course leads have consultations which you can book and discuss any issues with assessment and exams if nessassary they are also available via email and the uni portal if you have any questions they are always answer them. Lastly we have access to a lot of the facilities around campus and the library has a wide range of sources which help with our assignments and we can also access them online which is extremely helpful

As a student of the single honours English course I find Solent University to be the perfect choice for me. The lecturers are all committed and brilliant, the groups are small meaning a lot of time tailored to learning in an almost one to one setting. The people on the course are all just as engaged as you are. I find that the environment Solent offers and the lectures give is incredible and I would not be where I am now without it.

The campus and uni building are great facilities with up to date equipment. I study sport and PE and I throughly enjoy my course and the content within it. The lecturers deliver fun and engaging content. There is no SU but that's okay as the club scene is good.

This University is so good, not only are the campuses all in one area but all the resources are there and staff are always ready to help. I have no bad thing to say about going to uni in solent..

The university is just great! Everything in Southampton is within a walking distance so you don't have to rush if you have a lecture in a different building. The building is very modern and there are many options to choose from when it comes to food! Modern technology in the library and great support from all of the staff of uni! Just great!

I'm really happy with my choice coming to Solent. There is such much support and opportunities to help you here as a student. They really focus on your future career and how to get the best job when you leave. I like the uni campuses (even tho it can be annoying 2 are separate) right in the city centre so it's easy to walk to uni.

Solent is fully equipped with any facilities you may need during university. There are state of the art sports buildings. As well as anything you need in the creative industries also. We are lucky enough to have our own shop called Re:So which stocks student-made work from the art, design and fashion departments. I have never had any problems at Solent, everything is great!

The teaching and facilities has improved a lot. Good halls, pretty basic and the city is good as uni is in the middle of the city. Overall a good university, but not a Russel group uni. Enjoyed my three years here.

I have a health problem and disability, I wasn't impressed by this university at all, I asked for help with parking as I couldn't walk across Southampton and they refused to help me, they also refused my extensions for projects even though I had doctors letters AND I also had to pay for those letters (£10 per letter), I spent thousands on parking (£3 for 2 hours and I was studying every day for 8 hour), drs notes and transport with no help from the university for my disabilities. Not happy at all, I am leaving after a year because I have been struggling the whole time due to these issues with no help from tutors either and so I am now transferring over to open University

So far, uni has been a great experience. I mean, super inclusive, helpful, great buildings, amazing teachers, always clean and neat, awesome food choices

The below bar campus for art students feels completely detached from the main campus. With hardly any communication between the two, main campus services hardly know when the art studios open. The studio is in good condition, printers good etc. The main campus has no fully accessible printers for art students meaning we our disadvantaged when below bar isn't open.

Amazing focus on the real world. Teachers and staff always have an open door and will go above and beyond to help you achieve the best grades. I cannot recommend Solent enough !!!

Good, not as high tech and modern as they make it out to be. Inaccessible at times and don't use lecture capture. Not many lectures or time with lectures, as well as part time lecturers that are hard to contact. Like the content of my fashion degree, shame about how it's presented. Love the solent student cinema, student union a bit boring

The university is average although I find that the work is fun and socialising is the best part. My lecturers are fun and make sure each unit isn't boring although some units are really boring.

Good university with amazing facilities. Feel like some teachers are not interested in the stuff there teaching which makes you feel like you don't want to turn up; however, on the whole the teachers are caring and are very helpful when help is needed.

Very good university. Good support from lecturers and other staff. Nice university building as there is a new build. Negative is that it doesn't have student parking
