In my first year I had a good week, it kind of went on for more than a week but was fun. The freshers ball was not as enjoyable as it could have been

Very useful staff helping out and lots of events were put on during the week and were advertised clearly but there was no wristband ticket or one big ticket you could buy to go to loads of events.

With my new friends that I made in halls we went out almost every night and after one I ended up in hospital. It was fucking awesome. Couldnt rate freshers fair as I was still in hospital at the time but yh uni is sick

Freshers week at Solent was amazing, I joined lots of societies got lots of freebies and made loads of new friends! Solent freshers week is the best by far, there was free food, free sweets and most of all free alcohol. There was so many local businesses around and even big companies such as dominos pizza, it was a fun experience and I had such a good time, the freshers fair was the best bit, where I got all the freebies, there was loads of games to win stuff and loads of discounts and all sorts, of highly recommend this uni for anyone

My move in experience was amazing. Everyone was there to help me and guide me in the right direction. Freshers fair was, for me, one of the best experiences of my uni life. I really enjoyed everything that was presented and the fact that I got to learn so much about uni life in just one day.

Amazing environment, great people. Lots of frebbies and groups from various categories. Very fun games going on, free pizza!!! Have got some details from accommodation, very reactive and they do a great customer service towards every student.

Moving in was a fun experience for me as my excitement overcrowded the nerves. I was greeted by my flat mates who were all friendly and helpful. We had all purchased freshers tickets for some of the events held in the clubs and we went to most of them. These tickets were expensive for the nights we had experienced; I.e paying £15 a ticket in oceana for only a couple people to walk around in stilts and no other entertainment of any kind. Overall, I had a great freshers week and felt that it was a good icebreaker to get to know my flat and also meet other people aswell.

Events were hyped up quite a lot but rarely lived up to anyone's expectations. Also, we were given classes to attend during the week which put pressure on a lot of students to not enjoy themselves fully because otherwise they would end up missing classes. So, in future, freshers week should only be for one week and before classes begin.

It was very fun. I went out e ery night for two weeks. I'm alternative so socialising with normal people is difficult and I didn't meet many friends but it was fun. Very expensive tho. I recommend deals e. G. AAA bands. My freshers fair was awful. So boring and very few societies.

Freshers week had some great events. Big acts, big nights, fun themes. The best was definitely BNO which is basically just a massive pub crawl with rewards.

It was so hyped up and we even got £50 wristbands to all the events but it just isnt worth it really, i was so disappointed

Freshers was amazing, I had never been to something like this before and the first time experience was a good experience. It was exciting to get lots of freebies and mooch around the area. The staff were fun energetic and welcoming.

Freshers week was good. I found moving away from home very stressful and quite depressing, so going to an organised event where you know everyone is in the same boat is quite reassuring. There was lots of helpful information about the town and such, and great stuff like pizza and chicken wings. The only downside is that I wasn't introduced to how shit the university was, how poorly I was going to be treated. At least I felt good for a few weeks to begin with.

The move in experience was extremely easy, the university provided all the help that th y could for me to make it as smooth as possible. All of the freshers events that I attended were extremely fun and safe.l and provided a great space to bond with other students.

A variety of different themed nights for 14 days with at least 2 big events each week and massive end of freshers ball!
