Found myself making loads of friends. Was out almost every night with alot of choice on where to go available. Everyone was in the same boat and just focused on having a good time. This made me feel at ease and made the start of uni very pleasurable.

Move in experience is excellent in halls as the landlord gives you a time to meet to collect your keys and is very organised

Freshers week was organised very well by Sheffield Clubs/Bars. A lot of flyers were put through letter boxes and put up in student accommodation, letting you know what events were going on throughout the week. There was also lots of social media activity circulating, which made gathering information or tickets for events was quick and easy. A couple negatives were: if you brought all events separately instead of buying the wristband that allowed you to go to all events; it actually worked out cheaper. And that some of the clubs were too overcrowded and well beyond capacity. But it was expected on freshers week, but it was just a little bit too much. Drinks prices were cheap and there was many offers and deals throughout the week. Freshers fair was organised really well and there was a lot of freebies which were enjoyable to collect.

A lot of club events that were on during freshers week were very over rated. However, I did meet some lovely people during Freshers week so I believe it is a good way to socialise with new people.

Moving in was easy and a smooth transition. Being on Facebook is the best way to find out about events and who's going and where is good to go. Everywhere in freshers week is buzzing so anywhere you go is usually good! I suggest trying to talk to other people in your accommodation or houses next door, knock for them maybe invite them to pres or go out with them. Try to meet as many people as possible then you can make better friends of those you get on with better.

Literally so good. Free dominoes all the day. The night out is great, everyone is so friendly. Best of all drinks are so cheap, literally Tuesday 90p night. I think during freshers go to as many pre drinks meet loads of new friends. As soon as I unpacked I was knocking on my flat mates doors, just be confident.

Freshers week was very fun, every night there was a big event on that most people went to. It's a great time to make new friends and get to know the nightlife in Sheffield. During the days there was always something on too, whether it was welcoming to the uni or from shops around Sheffield.

Freshers week! If you want to do it properly Sheffield is the place to be! With clubs for every one whether you're an oasis loving indie or a techno queen, Sheffield has it all! With cheap drinks and loads of people, you can't get anywhere better than Sheffield to get the full University experience!

Great uni, so welcoming. Great clubs and pubs. Sadly uni accommodation is not the greatest, and expensive but the experience and friends you make, makes it worth the money.

Most of the events were good however there should be more of a variety of music genre events e.g. more drum and bass nights rather than commercial pop nights. There should be more events/activities in the day time.

Freshers week was a very exciting time, after moving into my accommodation I quickly became friends with many people in my flat and surrounding flats. Everybody was really friendly and welcoming and had an eagerness to socialise and make friends which made the process a lot easier!

Every night of the week was exceptional meeting new people, experiencing the night life in Sheffield and what different clubs have to offer, from Rap and R&B to Bassline and Tech House. After the full week I was struggling for another just recovering

Great events and cheap nights out. All the events advertised well before freshers week were well worth going to.

Quick move-in, very friendly accommodation and university staff. The freshers fairs were very fun and gave new opportunities. The freshers night out events were great! Don’t buy any freshers wristbands until a day before the events as it might be cheaper and you can go with your new flatmates.

Fresher's week was awesome. Everything were amazingly organized. An amazing, funny, full of secrets and of course safe week of the year!

Amazing few days with plenty of freebies as well as fun events in the city with plenty of things to do with only a tenner in the bag

Events around the halls, big events made cheaper and there would be huge queues so people wouldn’t end up going

It was decent, there was a lot of stuff going on but the majority of it didn’t appeal to me. I am more of a quiet person and they were all loud events.

Fresher's week for me was quiet with nights out with the 5 new people I was living with, the night life was amazing and the clubs were terrific.

It was ok I guess... Moving in was easier and more organised than I imagined it would be but the rest of the week was full of boring social events and nights out that were dryer than the Sahara desert.

Freshers Week was brilliant. All of the activities were very organised, however, they did run a little behind getting set up in time. There was a wonderful atmosphere, and plenty of opportunities to make new friends.

It was really good but the club's were too packed and too busy it was lucky it was easy to meet people in halls
