Debating Society

The School of Oriental & African Studies, University of London Debating Society is one of the most prominent and active debating societies in the UK. In addition to organising the prestigious SOAS IV, SOAS Open and SOAS Schools tournaments every year; we send teams of both novice and experienced debaters to competitions in the UK and all over the world. We also participate in the European Universities Debating Championships (EUDC) and the World Universities Debating Championships (WUDC) annually. Our members have won many prestigious tournaments and continue to do extremely well in competitive debates all over the UK and internationally!
