Royal Holloway and Bedford New College

Excellent study facilities on campus, catering outlets are high quality and fairly priced (not too expensive), lecturers are extremely helpful (studying Maths so may vary between departments). Close to the station, some food shops in town (Domino's, Subway) but there's not much else to do unless you go to Staines (like an hour walk or £3 by train or bus) where there's a shopping centre so a lot more to do. Nightlife is pretty quiet at times compared to bigger unis (Birmingham, Coventry, Leicester) and it may be difficult getting long-term help with mental health (as there can be a long waiting list, due to it being a small uni having to cater to a lot of students) however this was not the case for me. A lot of sports societies and teams with excellent sports facilities (indoor sports hall is great)

Having studied here for three years now I can say that I’ve enjoyed the beautiful environment very much.

Great campus, very beautiful. There is everything that you need on the campus but there is little going on in the local area. Gym needs updating. Amazing new library and facilities. Range of halls of residence, most of which are of a high standard. Lots of societies and sports teams. 40 mins from London and Reading Going up in the league tables Part of the University of London

Royal Holloway is an awesome university! Throughout the past 3 years my teachers have provided myself and my peers with a plethora of insightful knowledge and consistently supported us throughout the duration of our course. The campus is also beautiful, and a new library has recently been built which has a number of useful facilities and hundreds of books.

The campus is actually quite nice. It was voted nicest campus in 2018. The library and sports facilities are newly built, tho the library still has spacing issues and cannot house a lot of students.

Beautiful campus, good course, good facilities, including a brand new library and loads of places to eat. However the nightlife isn’t great, with only a few options to go out in the local egham, however London is too far away so there is always that option too. The halls are mostly all nice apart from Kingswood. And there is a super friendly community atmosphere here.

This university is good but my only issues are the places for students to go out and eat on campus. There’s a couple of cafes and in my opinion the food and drinks are over priced especially when you buy from the student union shop. Simple groceries cost a fortune which is really tough for a student. For example head and shoulders conditioner cost a bit over £5 which is ridiculous so a lot of people have to trek to Tesco outside of campus to save money. As a catered student I have 50% off of the dining halls on campus. Founders is open 5 days a week and The Hub is open on the weekends. In my opinion the hub is miles better than founders. Founders barely season their food compared to the hub. The Hub also give a nice range of food especially pan Asian cuisine which is nice to have because I do get sick of have the same food all the time at Founders

Campus is really pretty, and halls are pretty close, however there isn’t much going on around the uni. Careers service send loads of advice and help including a part time jobs fair with on the spot interviews for Thorpe park and legoland.
