Freshers was the most carefree I’ve been during my time at uni, getting to know many people that have now become good friends of mine was a good experience

Every night was amazing, we had buses sent to our accommodation every night to take us direct to the clubs for a only £1and it also picked us up after the night out. It was safe and made me enjoy my night much more as I didn’t have to worry about travel. Drinks were quite cheap and everyone in Notts knows how to have a good night !

The freshers reps at the accommodation were great, however I think better events could have taken place

The most craziest and fun week of my life, non stop partying and getting to know new people. Everyone is getting to know eachother and it’s great, you get to explore all of the new city you have moved to, and enjoy many nights out. So many memories were made that I’ll remember for the rest of my life.

Such an awesome week. The fresher reps were really good fun and super helpful if we had any issues. A good mix of things of crazy nights out but also daytime activities to cater for everyone's interests

Freshers week was really good. I did enjoy a lot but I think the events and the students nights for shooing should have been more promoted everywhere around the city as more time, I’ll get the information from my friends. In Nottingham there are plenty clubs for students which is perfect, plus this city is close to Leicester and Birmingham where freshers week happened at the same time so travelling was easy and good. Overall, I moved in Nottingham first week of September , enjoyed partying discovering places for about 2 weeks and it was lovely. Even did restaurants used to make big deals for students at first.

The events during Fresher's week were so intense and alcohol driven. The expectation to enjoy engaging with this drinking culture felt like a lot of pressure, especially since there are little other options to make friends and you've turned up in a new place on your own and a bit desperate for friends. I think this damaging practice should be less a focus at university and opportunities to actually meet people, build non-alcohol fuelled emotional connections would benefit everybody involved.

meet loads of new people, the opportunity to be introduced to all differant aspects of university life. The chance to go out, get drunk, do stupid things 24/7 and it be 100% acceptable. Best week of university. Don’t waste it.

The freshers team members carried all of my bags in to my flat (unfortunately for them the furthest away) and made sure I felt settled. The RA came round and welcomed each Flat personally. Nights out we’re amazing, and again the fresher team members were there to guide us and make sure we were safe and sound.

When I arrived at my halls there was a team of fresher reps there ready to unload my car for me. We thought this was brilliant as a job that would of probably taken an hour was over within 10 minutes. Fresher reps later arrived at our halls to insist we get ready for the first nights plans. This happened every night. Each night was a different theme and encouraged us to get dressed up together, it was great. Pre drinks were held with other flats so we got to meet so many people and the drinking games were really good ice breakers, I’m still friends with some of the people I met in freshers week. The whole week was really well organised and so much fun, one of the best weeks of my life.

When I first arrived at my halls, there was an entire crew of fresher reps who helped to unload my mums car. A job that probably would of taken an hour took ten minutes, all my things where brought straight to my room by the team. Most of my flat mates were already there so I went to introduce myself. Later fresher reps turned up to insist we all get ready because we are going out. It was really well organised. The same thing happened every night for the full 10 days and there was a different theme every night, it was so much fun. The reps forcing us to play drinking games made making friends so easy and I can honestly say it was one of the best weeks of my life, like a week long holiday.

I thoroughly enjoyed my freshers week, in particularly the fresher's fairs put on by the uni. There were lots of stalls and friendly staff guiding us through the day.

The freshers week was one of the best experiences of my life. I met a lot of fantastic individuals from all over the world. Everybody was very friendly and got along very well. The events lasted for entire week and were fantastic. My favourite was the Trent Army event. If your worried about coming to university, don’t be! It’s an amazing experience

The freshers week was an amazing experience. I met a lot of different people from all over the world. Freshers week was one of the best experiences you’ll ever have during your university life. People are extremely friendly, the events were amazing and it wasn’t very expensive to take part. Nottingham offers a lot of events including fairs where you can get lots of type of promotions and vouchers across many outlets in the city. You also get an opportunity to join different types of societies and sports clubs. There is many different things you can choose from, there’s something for everybody. Even though I was a bit concerned about freshers week at the end it turned out to be an amazing event.

Fun! Met loads of people and was something enjoyed by all. A wide range of activities, not all involving alcohol as well!

The stafff and current students that were assigned to move the new students in were unbelievably helpful and made the process really simple. The students did activities and designed events every day of freshers that ensured that every person was included and that everyone had an amazing experience.

The move in was aided amazingly by current students who were extremely helpful and really inclusive of all the new alumni. They also made it really easy to get to know everyone by ensuring that there were games and events going on between every halls every day.

Slightly too old for freshers, being 20 I felt older than all my peers, enjoy the freedom freshers gave me, different vibe

Everything was great, everyone was welcoming and helpful. The nightlife was fun and energetic. The first week of my course was entertaining and the ropes were shown well enough! The city of Nottingham at first was daunting but with advice from second/third years everyone becam led friendly and more and more helpful! My moving day was nerve racking but with the help of fresher reps it was made all the easier!
