The organization is awesome because we are a close knit team that loves to train and play cue sports together on top of meeting other passionate players from other schools as well. However, with the limited funding that we have received this year, we are finding it hard to be able to engage with the freshers due to the high costs. For example, apart from paying the £40 membership fee for the year, members also have to pay an additional £5 for every training session that they go to. With the high costs, the club is facing a very low attendance during our weekly training sessions as the student budget just cannot accommodate the high costs. It is disappointing and sad to see the club shrink. And it is even more disappointing that students are unable to participate in competitions despite being very keen on doing so due to the high costs; the club is unable to sufficiently sponsor to make the competitions affordable to students. It is a difficult time for the executive committee as we seek new ways to get funding apart from the SU and strive to grow and engage the current members to ensure that the club that was established in 2016, would continue to prosper in the years ahead.
