Freshers week is an exciting week to get to know your peers in a healthy socially environment. You can take part in a lot of activities and after you can enjoy the night life with the friends you made at the freshers fairs.

Moving in was easy and fluid. I got to meet plenty of people through freshers parties, events and flats but mainly through my course induction and introductory day. I spent much of freshers meeting people and getting used to life in london and while i’m sure it could have been more fun in other uni’s, my overall uni life has been fantastic here

Freshers week had its ups and downs but it was mostly a positive experience. It was honestly a great way to make friends and get to know each other as the memories of the fun last and it’s something to talk about with the people you hardly know. Freshers week in London is quiet intimidating as it’s such a big city and there are so many events happening, but everyone has the same troubles so it is fine once you have a good group around you.

My move in experience and inductions events were thoroughly thought through and I was impressed by the friendliness of all helping students and staff. The only way I can think of to improve is providing an easier method of finding and planning events as the app was a bit tedious to work with. .

Freshers in London is a lot of fun - just beware of the planning. The thing I didn’t know about nightlife in London prior to living there is that you need a proper plan before going out, otherwise you may end up just walking round and resorting to paying £16 entry to clubs. Look for events you like in advance for good prices and early bird tickets!

Since I’m from Spain, when I got to London I didn’t know anything about freshers week. It was a very interesting opportunity to get to meet everyone. I’d definitely recommend going to as many events as possible even thought it might not be the cheapest option. It’s definitely worth it. Some tickets for the events are available a couple weeks beforehand and by buying them in advance, people can save up a fair amount of money. Overall it’s a really nice experience because I feel like at that point everyone is trying to make friends and talks to everyone else. Freshers is with no doubt the best opportunity to make friends that students who are on their first year could have.

I was a bit apprehensive at first as freshers week has a reputation as being a week of drunkenness, but there were actually plenty of sober activities that made it easy to meet new people and start making friends!

I didnt get to move out into student accomodation but I really enjoyed being involved in socials and societies

I feel as though uni reps could have done more to help us integrate and make friends. Although I did have a good time during freshers week, I did not know anyone and went to most of the events alone.

I am really grateful for the opportunity to meet so many new friends. It was obvious that concerted effort was put in to ensure that students had a conducive atmosphere for such interaction. This really helped us the break the ice and feel at ease really quickly.

Moving in was very smooth and easy. Lots of societies had bad or no inductions. Club prices were ok but not super cheap.
