Lovely campus with innovative facilities that meet the needs of all creative courses. The environment around campus is stunning and the peaceful community really help to focus on your studies especially in the creative fields. There are plenty of things to do and see all around you - constant stimulation and inspiration for your work! People are very friendly here and the lecturers are amazing!

If you are looking to study in a beautiful, unique and arty location then Falmouth is for you. I am based on Penryn Campus but often go to the Woodlane Campus to get food and art supplies from their amazing shop and beautifully architectural designed building! Both of the campuses are filled with plants and well thought out landscaping. I am studying Textile Design and the FTI (Fashion Textiles Institute) building is so so well designed and equiped with all of the facilities such as digital print, weave, screen print, dye labs, sewing machines, studio spaces, fashion area, fashion photography and fashion marketing. The space is all open planned and you can bounce off other students as there is constant inspiration around you. There is also a sofa area to chill out on if you bring your own lunch. The environment is so chilled in what you would think would be a high stress course. The course also allows you to have your own freedom of choice and doesn't try to direct you to one particular outcome or 'trend'. The student union often throws events at The Stannary, the student bar and hub and I often visited this when living on campus in halls of residents - Glasney, which was a nice introduction into university life. Although I would recommend highly living in Falmouth as this is where all the action is at! I haven't had much contact with the career services yet but am looking into work placements for summer, so I'm sure I shall contact them soon!

The head of departments do not seem to listen to the students, for example in the issue of moving campus the students nor regular staff were not listened to. However the quality of teaching is average considering it is an arts university. The events are quite good as is the union bar at the main campus.

Very clean and well kept uni, every one is so welcoming when you start and it's nice to return the favour when the new students arrive in the following years. Halls isn't as nice as the rest of the uni, but it's the people you meet that make the experience so much better. My flat mates in first year were so lovely and inviting I've even moved in with them for my second and third year. There is so much to do in and out of uni like clubs and groups that you can sign up to. There was no liner to the amount to faster sessions you went to so you could have a go at everything, Theo's helped so much for getting to no new people. There's always something go on around both campus so it's never dull.

The course I'm on is different and opens a lot of different career paths for you. The trips are different and aren't at the Your normal places. The staff are very helpful and are keen to teach you new techniques to help you in the future and always love to get you to push yourself to reach your fall protendial. The campus it self is easy to navigate once you get use to it and they have different things for different people needs.

The Campus was very pleasant, only issues were with limited parking, but is developing to cope with the increase in students. Equipment is it’s best feature, as I did photography and had access to more things I knew what to do with. It’s an artsy vibe which is not for everyone, and Falmouth and Cornwall as a place was quite small and insular, there wasn’t much thought outside the parameters of Cornwall which I didn’t find very stimulating. The location is beautiful however, beaches, nice independent cafes and restaurants, gardens, coastal paths etc. The uni halls were a very good standard.

Gorgeous campus and area to live in for three years if you love being outdoors, exploring, water sports, and chilled life. Good facilities for students, which is getting better as they’re trying to encourage more students to try out more of the facilities through free “workshop festivals” which means you get to try out way more things than you would do through your course. My course, creative advertising, was really geared up to setting us up for proper jobs, and there are many career aids for the whole uni. The student union is getting a bit shit tbh, for example the communication is very poor - they cancelled our grad ball this year without mentioning it to anyone, until it was too late for us to complain and what they did put on in its place (a final party for the whole uni) was poorly organised and over priced. Furthermore they have provided 0 places to give honest feedback, which I’d love to do to make it better for future years.

Falmouth is a beautiful place with wonderful scenery. The facilities such as booking course-related scenery is amazing, however the lack of organisation of the uni overall and communication between students and lecturers can be a bit chaotic.

Lovely friendly university in a beautiful location. The woodlane Campus is an oasis in the small town of falmouth, and the Penryn Campus is much larger with the main student services such as a large library, student union and bar. Well worth studying here for the Falmouth experience!

Lecturers are really amazing and passionate on my course (Journalism) and I love the insight they give me, but of course, upper-management give very little care towards students when profit makes all the decisions. We were moved from the main Penryn campus to the small Woodlane one, and split halfway across the campus for different tasks to complete, purely for profit. They made the decision before any student consultation and expect us to get onto it. It's a shame that profit ruins the truly good education that lecturers want to give you!

Amazing university. Can't say a bad word about it. The location makes it 10x better. Close to the beach, great community and good transport. You can have amazing night out there with a verity of music and atmospheres available

The location can be off putting if you don’t drive but I don’t regret choosing this uni at all! The area is beauty and there’s always something going on! So many places to visit when you’re not studying

The campus and atmoshpere of Falmouth is overall beautiful, surrounded by trees and beautiful gardens, and right next to a beautiful cornish beach. The fine art course is amazing with complete artistic freedom and your own studio space. The overall vibe is very friendly and non-judgemental which works perfectly for artistic students wanting to explore their creative freedom.

Since the beginning of my academic career I have constantly been surprised with everything that Falmouth has to offer its students, what struck me was that they were focus on the university experience as much as the education. The enormous library that stocks every possible text you could want it matched with joyful student nights at their on site bar, the facilities themselves are state of the art and we are encouraged to explore them ourselves to better get to know them. The lecturers are extremely well versed and engaging in their respective fields and that leads to the most enjoyable lectures one could hope for. Overall, it is extremely enjoyable to live and study at Falmouth, it’s preparing me for more than just my career.
